Abstract
【解決手段】 円錐ころ軸受のころ3の周面に研削によるクラウニング加工を行い、その後、バレル研磨またはタンブラー研磨により研削目が残らないように仕上げ加工を行なう。

Description
バレル研磨またはタンブラー研磨は特定の方式に限定されず任意の方式でよい。例えばバレル研磨であれば流動式、遠心式、振動式、回転式のいずれも可能である。またバレル研磨またはタンブラー研磨と同時にMoS2系のコーティング処理を施してもよい(請求項2)。
本発明の円錐ころ軸受は自動車トランスミッションパイロット部支持用として好適であるが、その他の用途にも使用可能であることは勿論である。
試験結果から、研削目残りがあるとピーリング損傷が発生するのに対し、粗さは悪くても研削目残りが無い場合にはピーリング損傷が発生しないことが判った。

Claims (4)
- 研削によるクラウニング加工を行い、かつ、バレル研磨またはタンブラー研磨により研削目が残らないように仕上げ加工を行なった円錐ころを有することを特徴とする円錐ころ軸受。
- バレル研磨またはタンブラー研磨と同時にMoS2系のコーティング処理を施した円錐ころを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の円錐ころ軸受。
- 研削によるクラウニング加工を行った後、バレル研磨またはタンブラー研磨により研削目が残らないように仕上げ加工を行なうことを特徴とする円錐ころ軸受のころ加工方法。
- バレル研磨またはタンブラー研磨と同時にMoS2系のコーティング処理を施すことを特徴とする請求項3記載の円錐ころ軸受のころ加工方法。
