Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a back door outer panel of an automobile, which structure improves its formability in press work, makes a lamp dummy portion small, and increases a degree of freedom of design of a lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The back door outer panel 11 of the automobile has a lamp mounting portion 12a of the same profile as that of a lamp. The back door outer panel 11 of the automobile comprises: a lamp mounting housing panel 12 which has the lamp mounting portion 12a and has a size larger than the lamp mounting portion; and a back door outer panel 11 which has a housing panel connecting hole 11a a size smaller than that of the lamp mounting housing panel 12. 本発明は、自動車のバックドアアウタパネルの構造に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の自動車のバックドアアウタパネルの構造には、大きく分けてアウタ・ハウジング一体型とアウタ・ハウジング別体型とがある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
アウタ・ハウジング一体型は、図6に示したように、バックドアアウタパネル1にランプと同じ輪郭のランプ取り付け部2を一体形成してなるものであるが、バックドアアウタパネル1のランプ取り付け部2を中心に断面の深い部分が長い範囲に亘ってあるため、プレス成形性が良くないという問題がある。
また、バックドアアウタパネル1のプレス成形性によりランプ取り付け部2の断面深さがとれないことが原因となって、図6のII―II線断面図である図7に示すように、ランプ3の光源3aの発散角θから外れるため、光ることが出来ない部分であるランプダミー部3bが大きくなってしまって、ランプ3の美観があまり良くないという課題がある。

一方、アウタ・ハウジング別体型は、ランプと同じ輪郭のランプ取り付けハウジングをバックドアアウタパネル1とは別個に成形しておき、図8に示したように、ランプと同じ輪郭のハウジング接続穴1aを有するバックドアアウタパネル1を成形した後、このハウジング接続穴1aの内縁部にランプ取り付けハウジングの外縁部を接続し、さらにこの接続部に塩化ビニール溶剤であるシーラーを塗布してなるものである。
この例の場合、プレス成形性は良くなるが、ハウジング接続穴1aの内縁部、即ちバーリング部にシーラーを塗布することになるため、ハウジング接続穴1aの曲がり部はR25までが限界であり、ハウジング接続穴1aの形状、即ちランプの形状を尖ったものにすることが出来ず、ランプ意匠に制限があるという課題がある。

そこで、本発明は、プレス成形性が向上すると共に、ランプダミー部を小さくすることができ且つランプ意匠自由度も向上し得る、自動車のバックドアアウタパネルの構造を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、第1の発明では、ランプと同じ輪郭のランプ取り付け部を有する自動車のバックドアアウタパネルにおいて、ランプ取り付け部を有し且つこのランプ取り付け部より一回り大きいランプ取り付けハウジングパネルと、上記ランプ取り付けハウジングパネルより一回り小さいハウジングパネル接続穴を有するバックドアアウタパネルとを備え、上記ハウジングパネル接続穴の内縁部にランプ取り付けハウジングパネルの外縁部を互いに重なるようにして接続し、その接続部にシーラーを塗布するようにしたことを特徴としている。

上記第1の発明によれば、プレス成形で一番張り出している部分、言い換えれば、一番深さがある部分、即ちランプ取り付け部がランプ取り付けハウジングパネルに形成されてバックドアアウタパネルと別体化されているので、成形性が飛躍的に向上する。また、ランプ取り付けハウジングパネルをバックドアアウタパネルとは別個に成形することができるので、ランプ取り付け部の断面深さを大きく取ることができ、ランプダミー部を極めて小さくすることができ、その結果、ランプの美観が向上する。

第2の発明では、前記ランプ取り付け部が鋭角な角部を有する形状を呈し、前記シーラーはこの鋭角な角部の付近ではこの鋭角な角部を避けるようにして前記接続部を外側に曲がった形状にしていることを特徴とするものである。

第2の発明によれば、シーラーの塗布部がR25以下の部分が生じないようにランプ取り付け部の鋭角部と異なる形になっているので、塗布上の問題が無く、ランプ取り付け部を鋭角部を有する形状のものにすることができ、ランプ意匠が大幅に向上する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の一実施の形態について説明する。
図1は本発明によるバックドアアウタパネルの構造の一実施例を示す斜視図、図2は図1の要部拡大斜視図、図3乃至図5はそれぞれ図2のVI−VI線、 VII−VII 線、VIII−VIII線に沿う断面図である。

本実施の形態では、バックドアアウタパネル11と、ランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12とを別々にプレス成形した後、両者を接続することによりアウタ・ハウジング別体型として構成されている。バックドアアウタパネル11は、ランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12より一回り小さいハウジングパネル接続穴11aを有している。ランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12は、後述のランプと同じ輪郭のランプ取り付け部12aを有しており、このランプ取り付け部12aはランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12全体よりも一回り小さい。そして、ハウジングパネル接続穴11aの内縁部にランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12の外縁部を互いに重なるようにしてスポット溶接等により接続し、その接続部にシーラー13を塗布している。

ランプ取り付け部12aは、図2に示されているように、鋭角な角部12bを有する概略楔形を呈しているが、シーラー13はこの鋭角な角部12bの付近では、この鋭角な角部12bを避けるようにして上記接続部を外側に曲がった形状にすることにより、R25以下の部分が生じないようにしている。なお、ランプ14は、図5に示したように、固定ビス15によりランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12のランプ取り付け部12aに固定されている。

このバックドアアウタパネルの構造によれば、プレス成形で一番張り出している部分、言い換えれば、一番深さがある部分、即ちランプ取り付け部12aがランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12に形成されてバックドアアウタパネル11と別体化されているので、成形性が飛躍的に向上する。また、ランプ取り付けハウジングパネル12をバックドアアウタパネル11とは別個に成形できるので、ランプ取り付け部12aの断面深さを大きく取れ、図3乃至図5から明らかなように、ランプダミー部を極めて小さくすることができる。その結果、ランプの美観が向上する。また、シーラー13の塗布部がR25以下の部分が生じないようにランプ取り付け部12aの鋭角部12bと異なる形になっているので、塗布上の問題が無く、ランプ取り付け部12aを鋭角部12bを有する形状のものにすることができ、ランプ意匠が大幅に向上する。

【発明の効果】
上述の如く、本発明によるバックドアアウタパネルの構造によれば、プレス成形性が向上すると共に、ランプダミー部が小さくすることができ且つランプ意匠自由度も向上する。

As shown in FIG. 6, the outer housing integrated type is formed by integrally forming a lamp mounting portion 2 having the same contour as a lamp on a back door outer panel 1. There is a problem that the press formability is not good because the deep part of the cross section extends over a long range at the center.
Further, because the cross-sectional depth of the lamp mounting portion 2 cannot be obtained due to the press-moldability of the back door outer panel 1, as shown in FIG. 7, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line II-II of FIG. Since the divergence angle θ of the light source 3a deviates from the divergence angle θ, the lamp dummy portion 3b, which is a portion that cannot emit light, becomes large, and there is a problem that the aesthetic appearance of the lamp 3 is not very good.

On the other hand, in the outer housing separate type, a lamp mounting housing having the same contour as the lamp is formed separately from the back door outer panel 1, and has a housing connection hole 1a having the same contour as the lamp as shown in FIG. After the back door outer panel 1 is formed, the outer edge of the lamp mounting housing is connected to the inner edge of the housing connection hole 1a, and a sealer as a vinyl chloride solvent is applied to the connection.
In the case of this example, the press formability is improved, but the sealer is applied to the inner edge portion of the housing connection hole 1a, that is, the burring portion. Therefore, the bent portion of the housing connection hole 1a is limited to R25. There is a problem in that the shape of the connection hole 1a, that is, the shape of the lamp cannot be made sharp, and there is a limitation on the lamp design.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a structure of a back door outer panel of an automobile, in which the press formability is improved, the lamp dummy portion can be reduced, and the degree of freedom in lamp design can be improved.

To achieve the above object, according to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a back door outer panel of an automobile having a lamp mounting portion having the same contour as a lamp, comprising a lamp mounting housing panel having a lamp mounting portion and being slightly larger than the lamp mounting portion. A back door outer panel having a housing panel connection hole slightly smaller than the lamp mounting housing panel, and connecting the outer edge of the lamp mounting housing panel to the inner edge of the housing panel connection hole so as to overlap with each other, and connecting the lamp mounting housing panel to the inner panel.
