<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can avoid the accumulation of dust inside a reel unit and the entanglement of spin reels with foreign matters from electric connection cords or the like and is made convenient in handling for easier replacement in the carrying work to be done in the movement and the transportation thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In the game machine, an exchanging unit (2) is so formed as to be exchangeable with respect to the body cabinet (1) for altering the game contents while in the exchanging unit (2), a frame (21) is provided to mount the reel unit (20) and an upper plate (70) at the upper part of the frame (21) to cover the top of the reel unit (20) along with a grip (71) holdable with a hand from above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、交換ユニットの交換時に手で持ちやすく、且つ、交換作業時に支障をきたさないような遊技機に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、パチンコ機や、スロットマシン等の遊技機を設置している遊技ホールでは、顧客のニーズや他店との競合で優位に立つために、遊技機の製造開発メーカーが開発した斬新なゲーム性をもつ、パチンコ機や、スロットマシンに新台入れ替えと称して、数か月に一度、あるいは、それよりも短いサイクルで交換するのが通例となっており、最近では、このサイクルが更に短くなる傾向にある。

そして、従来の遊技機においては、かかる新台入れ替えで遊技内容を変更する際には、遊技機全体を略まるごと交換しなければならなかった。しかし、遊技ホールにおいて、遊技内容を変更するための新台入れ替えの台交換の際、遊技内容の変更に無関係な部品も多数、同時に交換されることとなり、交換に要する費用がかかるだけでなく、資源の無駄になっていた。

そこで、近年、遊技内容に直接、影響するリールユニット及びこのリールユニットの回転リールの回転駆動等を制御する主基板（主制御装置）を、前扉に固定して、前扉ごと一体に本体キャビネットから着脱自在に形成して、交換可能とする発明がなされている（例えば、特許文献１、図１及び図３参照。）。
さらに、リールユニット及び主基板（主制御装置）を固定した前扉に、ホッパー装置（メダル払出装置）や電源装置を固定して、前扉ごと一体に本体キャビネットから着脱自在に形成して交換可能にする発明がなされている（例えば、特許文献１、図４参照。）。

さらに、近年では、遊技機を、遊技性に関わる部分と、遊技性に直接関わらない部分とに分け、このうち遊技性に関わる部分を交換することにより、全体を略まるごと交換することなく、新しい遊技機で遊技しているかのような印象を与えることができる分離型の遊技機の開発が進められている。具体的には、枠体等の構造用部材に前記リールユニット及び主基板（主制御装置）を設置した交換ユニットを、本体キャビネット内部に着脱自在に形成して、新旧の交換作業を容易にしたスロットマシンに関する技術がある（例えば、特願２００１−１６３５７０号。）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来、新台入れ替えの際、内部にリールユニットを予め配置した本体キャビネット毎、交換作業を行うような場合、リールユニットは、本体キャビネットの内部に製造工場において予め組み込まれている部品の一つである。このため、リールユニットの上部は開放状態となっており、天井となるような構成部材を有していなかった。しかし、交換ユニットを本体キャビネットと分離して交換する、いわゆる分離型のスロットマシンの場合、本体キャビネットは、遊技ホールに長期間、固定し、かかるリールユニットを組み込んだ交換ユニット等を頻繁に変更することにより、新台入れ替えを行うこととなる。かかる場合、リールユニットを組み込んだ交換ユニットを、本体キャビネットから外に出して移動させる。このように、交換ユニットが外に出た状態だと、リールユニットの上部には、天井となるようば構成部材を有していないため、埃がたまりやすい。そして、かかる埃が回転駆動する部分と、回転駆動しない部分との間に入り込んで、回転リールの回転駆動のときに支障をきたしてしまうといった第一の問題点があった。

そして、上記した従来の遊技機、いわゆる分離型のスロットマシンでは、リールユニットの上部は、入出力信号の電気接続コードの接続作業をするため開放状態となっており、交換作業の際に、その上部で電気接続コードの接続作業を行うような場合には、かかる電気接続コードがリールユニットの回転リールに絡みやすいといった第二の問題点があった。

また、交換ユニットは、回転リールや、駆動モータを有するリールユニットの重量が大きい。このため、交換ユニットの取り扱いは容易ではなく、交換ユニットを手で持ち上げて、移動させる交換作業は、大変であるといった第三の問題点があった。
そこで、各請求項にそれぞれ記載された各発明は、上記した従来の技術の有する問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、次の点にある。

すなわち、請求項１記載の発明は、上記した従来の技術の有する第一乃至第三の問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、リールユニットの内部に埃が積もることを回避することができ、また、電気接続コード等の異物が回転リールに絡むことを回避することができ、また、移動や搬送における持ち運び作業の際、取り扱いに便利で交換作業を容易にすることが可能な遊技機を提供しようとするものである。

請求項２記載の発明は、上記した請求項１記載の発明の目的に加え、次の点を目的とする。
すなわち、請求項２記載の発明は、上板及び取っ手の取り外し作業を効率的に行うことができて、また、設計の自由度を増加可能な遊技機を提供しようとするものである。

すなわち、請求項３記載の発明は、リールユニットへの埃の侵入による動作不良をさらに抑えることができるようにした遊技機を提供しようとするものである。

請求項４記載の発明は、上記した請求項１又は請求項２に記載の発明の目的に加え、次の点を目的とする。
すなわち、請求項４記載の発明は、接続コード等の紐状の途中の一部が、リールユニット内部に入り込んで、絡まるようなことを回避することができ、また、リールユニットの外観上の異常を目視によりチェックすることができ、また、リールユニットの温度上昇を抑えることが可能な遊技機を提供しようとするものである。

請求項５記載の発明は、上記した請求項２に記載の発明の目的に加え、次の点を目的とする。
すなわち、請求項５記載の発明は、取っ手を使用しない場合は折りたたむことができて、交換作業等の邪魔にならないようにすることが可能な遊技機を提供しようとするものである。

（請求項１）
請求項１記載の発明は、次の点を特徴とする。

すなわち、正面側に開口する正面開口部（１１）を有する本体キャビネット（１）と、前記本体キャビネット（１）の正面開口部（１１）を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉（３）と、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール（２３）及びこの回転リール（２３）を回転させるための駆動モータを有するリールユニット（２０）とを備えた遊技機（Ｓ）であって、前記リールユニット（２０）は、交換ユニット（２）に組み込まれている。

そして、前記交換ユニット（２）は、遊技内容を変更するために前記本体キャビネット（１）に対して交換可能に形成されている。
そして、さらに、前記交換ユニット（２）は、前記リールユニット（２０）を装着するための枠（２１）と、前記枠（２１）の上部に前記リールユニット（２０）の上方を覆う上板（７０）と、前記枠（２１）の上部に上方から手で握ることが可能な取っ手（７１）とを備えていることを特徴とする。

また、ここで、「回転リール（４０）」とあるのは、周囲に複数の図柄を表示したものが、実際に回転するようなものに限定されるものではなく、液晶画面に表示されるようなものも含まれるものである。具体的には、例えば、液晶装置を使用することにより、周囲に複数の図柄を表示した回転リールが回転するような画像を当該液晶装置によって遊技者に向かって表示するものも含まれる。また、ここで、「遊技機（Ｓ）」とは、具体的には、例えば、スロットマシンであるが、上述した表示装置に現れる回転リールを有するパチンコ機や、その他の遊技機を含むものである。

また、ここで、「交換ユニット（２）は、遊技内容を変更するために前記ホッパーユニット（５）に対して交換可能に形成され」とは、具体的には、交換ユニット（２）の枠（２１）の左右両端に鉤状に形成されたフックと、本体キャビネット（１）の左右内面に固定されて、前記フックを引っかけて固定可能なクリップとからなる着脱が容易な固定手段を備えていることにより、交換ユニット（２）を本体キャビネット（１）から容易に交換することができるようなものを含むものである。なお、ここで、枠（２１）は、全体形状が枠状からなり、主制御装置（２５）や、リールユニット（２２）を固定可能に形成されているものである。また、「遊技内容を変更するため」とは、リールユニット（２０）の回転リール（２３）を、その周囲に配置した図柄が異なるものに変更することにより、遊技内容を変更するようなものを含むものである。

（作用）
本発明に係る交換ユニット（２）は、枠（２１）の上部にリールユニット（６０）の上方を覆う上板（７０）を備えている。このため、リールユニット（６０）の上方から自重により落下してくる埃が、リールユニット（２０）の内部に降り積もることを回避することができる。また、交換作業の際、リールユニット（２０）の上方で接続作業を行うような場合、接続作業における電気接続コード等の破片が、下方に落下して、リールユニット（２０）の内部に入りこむことを回避することができる。

さらに、上板（７０）がリールユニット（２０）の上方を覆っているため、交換作業の際や、また、通常使用時においても、何らかの契機により、電気接続コードが下方のリールユニット（２０）に向かって垂れ下がって、回転リール（２３）に絡むようなことを回避することができる。
そして、本発明に係る交換ユニット（２）は、枠（２１）の上部に上方から手で握ることが可能な取っ手（７１）を備えている。このため、交換ユニット（２）の交換作業の際、かかる取っ手（７１）を手で握って持ち上げることができ、また、移動や搬送における持ち運び作業の際、取り扱いに便利である。これにより、交換ユニット（２）の交換作業を容易なものにすることができる。

請求項２記載の発明は、上記した請求項１記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、前記取っ手（７１）は、前記上板（７０）の上面に設けたことを特徴とする。

（作用）
本発明は、上板（７０）及び取っ手（７１）を交換ユニット（２）の枠（２１）から取り外す場合、取っ手（７１）が上板（７０）の上面に設けてあるため、上板（７０）を枠（２１）から取り外すだけで、取っ手（７１）の取り外し作業を行うことなく、取っ手（７１）も枠（２１）から取り外すことができる。これにより、交換ユニット（２）の分解作業やリールユニット（２０）の修理交換作業等において、リールユニット（２０）を交換ユニット（２）から取り外す際、上板（７０）及び取っ手（７１）が邪魔になるような場合、上板（７０）及び取っ手（７１）の取り外し作業を効率的に行うことができる。

また、取っ手（７１）は、上板（７０）の上面に設けてあるため、取っ手（７１）を枠（２１）に固定するような場合と比較して、取っ手（７１）の長さや、取っ手（７１）の取付位置を、上板（７０）の上面の領域のなかで、最適な長さや最適な取付位置に自由に設計することが可能となる。例えば、手に最も握りやすい最適な長さの取っ手（７１）を、交換ユニット（２）の重心の位置を考慮した最適な位置に設ける等の設計の自由度を増加させることができる。

請求項３記載の発明は、上記した請求項１又は請求項２記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、前記上板（７０）は、面状の板状部材からなることを特徴とする。
（作用）
本発明は、小さな埃や交換作業時における小さなゴミが、リールユニット（２０）の上から落下してきても、面状の板状部材からなる上板（７０）の上面に引っかかって、リールユニット（２０）内部に入り込まないようにすることができる。これにより、小さな埃がリールユニット（２０）内部に侵入することを抑えることができ、リールユニット（２０）への埃の侵入による動作不良をさらに抑えることができる。

請求項４記載の発明は、上記した請求項１又は請求項２に記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、前記上板（７０）は、網の目状の表裏に貫通する隙間を有する網目状部材からなることを特徴とする。

（作用）
本発明は、交換作業の場合等に、電気通信用の接続コード等の紐状の途中の一部が、大きく蛇行して、リールユニット（２０）の上方からリールユニット（２０）に向かって垂れ下がってきても、網の目状の網目状部材からなる上板（７０）の上面で、ひっかかり、上板（７０）の下方のリールユニット（２０）まで垂れ下がるようなことを回避することができる。これにより、接続コード等の紐状の途中の一部が、リールユニット（２０）の回転リール（２３）等の回転駆動するような部分に入り込んで、絡まるようなことを回避することができ、リールユニット（２０）の回転駆動の動作不良の発生を抑えることが可能となる。

さらに、本発明は、上板（７０）が網の目状の表裏に貫通する隙間を有している網目状部材であるため、上方から除いた際、リールユニット（２０）の外観を観察することができる。これにより、リールユニット（２０）の外観上の異常を目視によりチェックすることができる。また、リールユニット（２０）からの放熱をかかる網の目状の隙間から上方に向かって放出することができ、リールユニット（２０）から発生する熱が、リールユニット（２０）内部に貯留されるのを抑えることができ、温度上昇による電子機器の故障を回避することが可能となる。

請求項５記載の発明は、上記した請求項２に記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、前記取っ手（７１）は、手で握るための取っ手本体部（７２）と、前記取っ手本体部（７２）の両端を前記上板（７０）に連結する連結部（７３）とを備えている。

そして、前記連結部（７３）は、前記取っ手本体部（７２）を前記連結部（７３）の回りに回動可能な回動手段（７４）を備えていることを特徴とする。
（作用）
本発明は、取っ手本体部（７２）を連結部（７３）の回りに回動させることができる。これにより、取っ手（７１）を使用する場合は、取っ手本体部（７２）を上板（７０）から上方に向かって立設させることにより、上方から差し込んだ手で取っ手本体部（７２）をつかむのに便利である。そして、取っ手（７１）を使用しない場合には、取っ手本体部（７２）を横に倒して折りたたむことができる。これにより、上板（７０）の上方の空間を開けることができて、交換作業等の邪魔にならないようにすることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
（図面の説明）
図１乃至図４は、本発明の実施の形態を示すものである。
図１は交換ユニットの外観斜視図、図２は取っ手及び上板の外観斜視図、図３及び図４は遊技機の分解斜視図をそれぞれ示すものである。

本実施の形態に係る遊技機Ｓは、具体的には、スロットマシンであって、図１に示すように、大きく分けて、正面側に開口する正面開口部１１を有する本体キャビネット１、本体キャビネット１内部に着脱自在に設けられる交換ユニット２、本体キャビネット１の正面開口部１１を開閉可能に塞ぐための前扉３とから構成されている。そして、本体キャビネット１の正面開口部１１は、本体キャビネット１の上部に開口する開口上部１３と、本体キャビネット１の下部に開口する開口下部１４とを備えている。そして、前記前扉３は、本体キャビネット１の開口上部１３を開閉可能に塞ぐための上扉３０と、本体キャビネット１の開口下部１４を開閉可能に塞ぐための下扉４０とを備えている。

（本体キャビネット１）
上記本体キャビネット１は、全体形状が箱状であって、図４に示すように、底板１５、側板１６、天板１７及び裏板１８からなる正面側に開口する筺体である。そして、この本体キャビネット１の高さ方向略中央部には、二つの側板１６の間に水平方向に中板１２が渡してある。そして、この中板１２の下面には電源装置４が設けられ、底板１５にはホッパー装置５が固定されている。

ここで、電源装置４は、中板１２の下面に、取り付け板等を介して取り付けられており、遊技店側が種々の設定を行うためのスイッチ等、店操作部を有している。
上記電源装置４及びホッパー装置５は、交換ユニット２の交換に際し、必ずしも交換する必要のないものであり、交換時には設置されたままにしておけるようになっているものである。

また、側板１６の正面左側の下部には、前記下扉４０を係合させ、回転自在に支持するための本体係合部６２が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。
さらに、本体係合部６２の対向側の側板１６には、下扉４０を閉めた際、下扉４０をロックするための突出片６９（図３）が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。

（交換ユニット２）
上記交換ユニット２は、遊技ホールにおける、いわゆる新台入れ替えの際、遊技内容を変更するために本体キャビネット１に対して交換可能に形成されているものである。この交換ユニット２は、固定装置１０を介して本体キャビネット１に着脱自在に取り付けられているものである。この固定装置１０は、交換ユニット２の枠２１の左右両端に鉤状に形成されたフック３４と、本体キャビネット１の左右内面に固定されて、前記フック３４を引っかけて固定可能なクリップ３５とからなる着脱が容易なものである。

上記交換ユニット２は、リールユニット２０等の部品を装着するための四角枠状の部材を組み合わせた枠２１と、この枠２１の上部に位置してリールユニット２０の上方を覆う上板７０と、枠２１の上部に位置して上方から手で握ることが可能な取っ手７１とを備えている。また、交換ユニット２は、前記枠２１の下部に固定されたリールユニット２２と、枠２１の上部奥側に固定された基板ユニット２４とを備えている。

ここで、リールユニット２２は、周囲に複数の図柄を表示した複数の回転リール２３と、特に図示しないが、回転リール２３を回転させるための駆動モータを有している。また、前記基板ユニット２４は、回転リール２３の回転等を制御するための主制御装置２５が透明樹脂からなる四角箱状の基板ケース２６の内部に収納されているものである。

前記枠２１の正面左側の縦枠には、前記上扉３０を回転自在に係合するための枠体係合部６０が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。
さらに、枠２１の正面右側の縦枠には、上扉３０を閉めた際、上扉３０をロックするための突出片６９が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。
（上板７０）
上記上板７０は、枠２１の上部に設けられて、リールユニット２０の上方を覆っているものである。具体的には、上板７０は、枠２１の高さ方向途中の横方向に渡されるように枠２１に固定されているものである。この上板７０は、リールユニット２０の上方を覆うような位置に固定されているものである。この上板７０は、その側端及び後ろ側の端部において、複数個のねじ及びボルトからなる締結部材により、枠２１にしっかりと固定されているものである。なお、この上板７０は、金属性の板状の板状部材からなり、交換ユニット２の全体の重量が加わっても変形しないような強度を有している。そして、この上板７０の上面には、折りたたみ可能な取っ手７１が形成されている。

（取っ手７１）
上記取っ手７１は、枠２１の上部に設けられて、交換ユニット２の交換作業者が上方から手を差し込んで握ることが可能なものである。具体的には、取っ手７１は、上板７０の上面の前後方向の略中央付近に、左右の横方向に把持可能な棒状のものが形成されているものである。さらに、具体的には、取っ手７１は、交換作業者が作業中に、上方から或いは前方から差し込んだ手で握るための取っ手本体部７２と、この取っ手本体部７２の両端を上板７０に連結する連結部７３とを備えている。

前記取っ手本体部７２は、手で掴むことが可能な円柱棒状であって、横方向に渡された金属性からなる握り棒７６と、この握り棒７６の左右両端を左右の連結部７３にそれぞれ繋げるための金属性からなる短尺板状の支持片７７とを備えている。すなわち、１本の握り棒７６と、その両端から延びる２本の支持片７７とにより、取っ手本体部７２は、その全体形状が略コ字状に形成されている。

前記連結部７３は、取っ手本体部７２を連結部７３の回りに回動可能な回動手段７４を備えている。前記連結部７３は、２枚の短尺片の間に、支持片７７が回動可能に挟み込まれている構造を有している。そして、前記回動手段７４は、連結部７３及び支持片７７を同一中心軸により貫通するピン孔７８と、このピン孔７８に差し込まれた回動ピン７５とから形成されているものである。取っ手本体部７２の支持片７７は、このピン７５を回転の中心軸として、前後方向に１８０度、回動可能となるように形成されている。

なお、回動手段７４は、取っ手本体部７２を手前側若しくは奥側のいずれか一方側に向かって、回転させるような力を加えることが可能なバネ等の弾性付与部材を備えても良いものである。すなわち、渦巻きバネや、コイル等の弾性付与部材を使用して、常時、取っ手本体部７２を手前側或いは奥側に向かって回転する方向に力を加えるものである。これにより、交換ユニット２を持ち上げるときは、取っ手本体部７２を手で掴んで天板１７から鉛直方向に立設させることができ、一方、取っ手本体部７２を手で持たないときは、弾性付与部材の弾性復元力により、取っ手本体部７２を上板７０の上面に沿って自動的に倒すことができて、取っ手７１を自動的に折りたたむことができる。したがって、交換ユニット２の上方での電気接続コードの結線作業等において、作業者が作業に邪魔な取っ手７１を折りたたむという工程を省くことができる。

（上扉３０）
上記上扉３０は、交換ユニット２の枠２１に回転自在かつロック可能に形成されている板状の扉であり、略中央部に前記回転リール２３の図柄を正面側から見ることができる図柄表示窓３１を有し、周囲に飾り部３３が設けられている。そして、種々の表示を行うための表示装置３２が設けられているものである。

ここで、前記飾り部３３は、他のランプ等により形成しても良く、入賞の報知その他の演出時にランプが点滅するように形成してもよく、また、前記表示装置３２は、７セグメントＬＥＤ等により数字を表示するものや、特に図示しないが、画像を表示するための液晶表示装置やＣＲＴなどとしてもよいものである。
さらに、図３に示すように、上扉３０の左側の裏面には、前記枠体係合部６０に係合可能な上扉係合部６１が上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。そして、上扉３０の右側の裏面には、扉ロック機構７が設けられている。そして、上扉３０の裏面上部の左右には、種々の音声を出力するためのスピーカ４９が設けられている。

（下扉４０）
上記下扉４０は、本体キャビネット１の開口下部１４を塞ぐための、上扉３０よりも幅厚の扉であり、本体キャビネット１の側板１６に回転自在かつロック可能に形成されているものである。
下扉４０の上部は、遊技機Ｓを作動させるための操作部４１となっており、下扉４０の上面は、閉扉時においては、上扉３０よりも前側に突出するようになっている。また、下部には払い出されたメダルを溜めておくためのメダル受け４３が形成されており、下扉４０の略中央部には、遊技内容その他の表示をするための前パネル５０が嵌め込まれている。

前記操作部４１としては、下扉４０の上面右端にはメダル投入口４２及び上面左側に設けられたベットスイッチ、正面側にはスタートスイッチ及びストップスイッチ及び鍵穴４４が設けられている。なお、ベットスイッチとは、貯留メダルをメダル投入に代えるためのものであり、スタートスイッチ及びストップスイッチは、回転リール２３の回転を開始及び停止させるためのものである。また、鍵穴４４は、前扉３を解錠するためのものであり、この穴に所定の鍵を差し込んで回すと、下扉４０の扉ロック機構７のロックが解除されるものである。
