Description

【0001】

[0001]
TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a charcoal bedding for a livestock breeding farm used for a poultry farm for meat, a cattle farm, a pig farm, and the like. More specifically, the present invention relates to a charcoal-based litter which can be reused by greatly reducing the litter used for a livestock farm.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Activated carbon has a strong adsorptivity and is known as a mostly carbonaceous carbon. In the production method, wood, lignite, peat, or the like is treated with a chemical (eg, zinc chloride, phosphoric acid, etc.) as an activator and carbonized, or charcoal or the like is activated with steam. It is usually in the form of powder or granules, and the powder is also formed into granules by molding.
[0003]
On the other hand, plant-based litter such as straw, sawdust, and rice hulls is used as a material to be laid to soften and warm a place where a domestic animal lies, and to absorb moisture of excrement. For example, the litter used in meat poultry farms mainly uses sawdust and wood chips (chips) currently discharged from sawmills and the like. A poultry for meat is laid with a litter in a certain area, and a certain number of chicks (chicks) grow to a certain density on the litter and are shipped for a certain period (for example, 50 days). Spend).
[0004]
Immediately after shipment of grown chickens, litter contaminated with poultry manure, spilled feed, fallen feathers and the like is discharged as waste and cleaned, and new litter such as sawdust is spread and prepared for the next breeding. On the other hand, the discharged waste is piled up in open space near the poultry farm (mostly in mountainous areas). Unloading will cause odors and rainwater contamination will flow into the river. There is a method in which the fire is ignited when it is dried, and the fire is burned to reduce the capacity as ash.
[0005]
In this method, diffusion of ash and combustion gas containing harmful substances are also problems. In particular, in the case of burning at a low temperature, the possibility that dioxins are generated due to the benzene ring caused by lignin in sawdust and chlorine in chicken dung cannot be denied. Although the waste is disposed of by a waste disposal company, it is treated in the same manner but does not solve these problems.
[0006]
A method is also known in which this waste litter is fermented into compost. However, meat litter contains a large amount of sawdust and wood chips of about 50%, so it takes a long time to convert it into an organic fertilizer by fermentation and composting. Is said to be necessary. Further, if a fermentation system for shortening the fermentation time is introduced, the plant becomes a large-scale plant, which is inexpensive.
[0007]
The present inventors have proposed a method of reusing this litter (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-176869). According to this proposal, in the load test of ammonia for both chicken manure and sawdust, as the number of times of loading increased, the removal capacity decreased, and 105 ppm of chicken manure and 60 ppm of sawdust remained in the sixth load. From this result, it was clarified that the chicken manure charcoal used had an odor (ammonia gas) adsorption ability, but did not differ much in capacity from sawdust.
[0008]
On the other hand, a large amount of sawdust is generated in a sawmill or the like, and a part of the sawdust is discarded except for being used as the litter described above. In addition, disposal of a large amount of wood from building waste is becoming a social problem. This waste wood is landfilled, incinerated, etc., but it is not easy to secure landfill sites and dust pollution. There are many proposals for carbonizing these waste woods, but there is no use for using a large amount of them.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made under the above-mentioned technical background, and achieves the following objects.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a carbonized litter used in a meat poultry farm or the like into which a charcoal such as activated carbon is mixed.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a charcoal litter manufactured by recycling plant litter such as sawdust.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a carbon-filled litter for suppressing litter as waste and at the same time reducing litter cost.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a carbonized litter for improving the breeding environment, which has an ability to adsorb harmful substances such as odors by activated carbonizing the litter used in livestock breeding farms. .
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention employs the following means to achieve the above object.
The carbonized litter of the present invention is a litter for livestock, and is a mixture of activated carbon and / or charcoal having the ability to adsorb odorous substances and harmful substances, and plant-based litter and / or recycled paper. It is characterized by being used.
The livestock means cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens and the like. The plant-based litter may be any material as long as it is a plant-based material, but is discharged as waste from agricultural products such as wood chips, wheat straw, rice straw, wood sawdust (sawdust), bark, rice husk, and bran. Is preferred from the viewpoint of recycling. Furthermore, waste wood and thinned wood from building waste and the like may be crushed. Recycled paper refers to waste paper, paper made from recycled pulp made from recovered waste paper as a main raw material, and litter made from these materials.
[0011]
The activated carbon and / or the carbide is obtained by heating and carbonizing at least one selected from the plant-based litter including used manure, the recycled paper, and the mixed litter. The activated carbon is obtained by activating charcoal or the like with steam or the like to increase the surface area. The shape of the activated carbon and / or the carbide is powdery or granular, and the powdery one is preferably formed into a granular shape. In the production of the activated carbon or the carbide, the activated carbon or the carbide may be subjected to a carbonization treatment by heating in a closed container shielding oxygen and activation with steam. The activated carbon and / or carbide is 2.0% to 55.0% by weight of the mixed litter, and the remainder is preferably plant-based litter.
[0012]
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Hereinafter, examples of the present invention will be described with reference to experimental examples. The fact that activated chicken manure charcoal can be used as a litter is as described in JP-A-2002-176869. Therefore, the effect of the odor of the carbonized litter of the present invention was confirmed through a simple experiment.
1. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a container used in the method for measuring ammonia adsorption capacity. The saturated ammonia gas in the container as shown in FIG. 1 was adsorbed on activated chicken manure or sawdust litter mixed with commercially available activated carbon, and the concentration change in the container was measured by a detector tube method. That is, a 50 (milliliter) beaker was placed in a 1 (liter) plastic container, and a petri dish containing 1.0 g of a litter was placed above the beaker.
[0013]
After dropping 50 (microliter) of a 0.5 w / v% ammonia solution in a beaker, the vessel was immediately capped and placed in a 37 ° C. thermostat. After standing for 2 hours, open the small lid, insert the detection tube (2La made by Gastec), aspirate the gas in the container with the Gastec suction device, and read the scale of the colored portion of the detection tube to read the ammonia concentration. Was measured. In addition, when it measures by putting only an ammonia solution without putting a litter by this method, the ammonia saturation concentration in a container will be 100 ppm.
[0014]
(Results and discussion)
Under the above experimental conditions, the results as shown in FIG. 2 were obtained. The horizontal axis in FIG. 2 indicates the number of times of loading of ammonia by the above-described method, and the vertical axis indicates the ammonia concentration (ppm). Each line shows a sawdust litter which is a mixture of sawdust and commercial activated carbon in 5% (0.05 g of activated carbon and 0.95 g of sawdust) and 10% (0.1 g of activated carbon and 0.9 g of sawdust) and only sawdust (1 grit). 0.0g) is the change in the ammonia concentration in the container measured for each litter.
[0015]
It can be seen that the mixture of activated carbon and sawdust adsorbs ammonia most than the sawdust alone. It can also be seen that the greater the amount of activated carbon, the greater the amount of ammonia adsorbed.
[0016]
【The invention's effect】
As described in detail above, the present invention provides an odor and an ammonia-adsorptive bedding by mixing activated charcoal having an adsorptive property and a plant-based litter and using it as a mixed litter. It was possible to improve waste, to use waste such as agriculture and forestry, to suppress the generation of litter as waste, and to reduce litter cost.
