まず、本発明の実施対象となる自動販売機の構成を図3,図4に示す。各図において、1は自動販売機の本体キャビネット、2は前面外扉であり、外扉2の前面側には、商品見本を陳列するディスプレイ室3,商品取出口4,およびコイン投入口,釣銭返却レバーを備えた操作パネル5などを装備し、さらに扉面の下部には釣銭返却口6が開口している。

一方、外扉2の裏面側には、図4に示すように前記コイン投入口から投入したコインを受け入れるコイン機構7、コインシュータ8,コイン回収ボックス9などを装備し、コイン機構7から払出した釣銭をコインシュータ8を通じて釣銭返却口6に導き、またコイン機構7からオーバーフローしたコインはコインシュータ8を通じてコイン回収ボックス9に回収させるようにしている。なお、図4において、10はキャビネット1の断熱内扉、11は商品収納ラック、12は商品収納ラック11から搬出した商品を前記の商品取出口4に導く商品搬出シュータである。

ここで、前記した釣銭返却口6についての従来形状を図5に、またその釣銭返却口6に対応して外扉の裏面側に配したコインシュータ7の構造を図6に示す。すなわち、従来では釣銭返却口6の形状が、図5のように開口部上縁が直線を呈しており、釣銭返却口6に臨むようにコインシュータ8の釣銭受け8aが開口している。また、釣銭受け8aの前面にはフラッパ式の釣銭取出扉8bを備えており、該扉8bは上端のヒンジ軸8cを介して押し開き可能に軸支されている。なお、8dは図4でコイン機構7からオーバーフローしたコインをコイン回収ボックス9に導くガイドシュータであり、かかるコインシュータ8の詳細な構造および機能については、本発明と同一出願人より先に提案した特開2002─15366号公報に詳しく述べられている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
最近になり、ロケーション先に設置した自動販売機に対して、次のようないたずら手口による金銭の盗難被害が発生して問題となっている。すなわち、図6で示すように釣銭返却口6と釣銭取出扉8bのヒンジ軸8cとの間に残る僅かな隙間gに外部からカード等の異物13を差し込んコイン受け8aに通じる釣銭通路を塞いでしまい、その後に利用客が正規に商品を購入した際にコイン機構から釣銭として払出したコイン14が釣銭返却口6に返却されないように異物13の上に詰まらせ、客が立ち去ったところを見計らって差し込んでいた異物13を引き抜き、コインシュータ8の中に溜まっているコイン14を釣銭返却口6に落として盗み出すやり方である。

本発明は上記の点に鑑みなされたものであり、前記したいたずら手口の防止策として、外部から釣銭返却口に通じる機内側の釣銭返却通路へカード等の異物が挿入できないように改良した自動販売機の釣銭返却口を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、本発明によれば、自動販売機の外扉に開口した釣銭返却口で、該釣銭返却口に臨ませて外扉の裏面側にフラッパ式の釣銭取出扉を備えたコインシュータを装備し、該コインシュータを通じてコイン機構から払出した釣銭を返却口に導くようにしたものにおいて、
釣銭返却口の開口部上縁に、前記釣銭取出扉の前面側に向けアーチ状に張り出して機外から挿入しようとするカード等の異物進入を阻止する庇部を形成するものとする。

上記構成によれば、釣銭返却口の開口部上縁に形成したアーチ状の庇部が釣銭取出扉との間の隙間の前面を塞いでカード等の異物挿入を阻止する。これにより、機外からカード等の異物を差し込んで釣銭返却口に通じるコインシュータの釣銭通路を塞いで釣銭を通路に詰まらせるいたずらを防ぐことができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図1,図2に示す実施例に基づいて説明する。なお、実施例の図中で図5,図6に対応する部材には同じ符号を付してその説明は省略する。
すなわち、図示実施例においては、外扉2の前面に開口した釣銭返却口6の形状について、その開口部上縁の形状を従来の直線からアーチ状に変更し、その背後に位置する釣銭取出扉8bの前面側に向け張り出す庇部6aを形成する。

これにより、図2で表すように機外からカード等の異物13を釣銭返却口6と釣銭取出扉8bのヒンジ軸8cとの間の隙間に差し込もうとしても、前記の庇部6aが邪魔して挿入することがでない。これにより、コイン機構から釣銭として払出したコイン14は通路途中で詰まることなく釣銭受け8aに搬出され、図6で述べたような手口によるいたずらを防止できる。なお、釣銭返却口の庇部6aは釣銭取出扉8bの前面側に張出しているので、扉の開閉操作の障害になることはない。

以上述べたように、本発明によれば、自動販売機の外扉に開口した釣銭返却口で、該釣銭返却口に臨ませて外扉の裏面側にフラッパ式の釣銭取出扉を備えたコインシュータを装備し、該コインシュータを通じてコイン機構から払出した釣銭を返却口に導くようにしたものにおいて、釣銭返却口の開口部上縁に、前記釣銭取出扉の前面側に向けアーチ状に張り出して機外から挿入しようとするカード等の異物進入を阻止する庇部を形成したことにより、
機外からカード等の異物を釣銭返却口とコインシュータの釣銭取出扉との間の隙間に差し込んで釣銭通路を塞ぎ、コイン機構から払出した釣銭を通路途中で詰まらせて後から盗み出すといった手口のいたずらを阻止して自動販売機の防盗性を高めることができる。
