本発明はブラシを有する頭体が柄の先端部に着脱可能に取り付けられることによりブラシ部分を交換可能とした超音波歯ブラシ、詳しくは頭体が緩みやがたつきを生じることなく、殊に圧電振動子の超音波振動をブラシに向かって効率よく伝達できる状態に取り付けられるとともに、頭体を手の力で着脱、殊に工具類を用いることなく取り外すことができる超音波歯ブラシに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
ブラシが摩耗したとき、歯ブラシ全体を廃棄することなくブラシ部分のみを新しいものに交換することは、廃棄物の減量、省資源、経済面などの点で有利である。殊に、ブラシに超音波振動や電動機による機械振動を与える動力駆動歯ブラシにおいては、超音波発信器や電動機およびそれらの制御回路や伝動機構を柄に内蔵させていることからブラシ部分を交換式とすることの利益はきわめて大きい。

一方、ブラシ部分を交換可能としたものは、殊に超音波歯ブラシにあっては、頭体取り付け部分の隙間によるエネルギ伝達効率の低下を生じることがないようにする必要があり、これらを考慮した頭体取り付け構造が特表平7−509151号公報に提示されている。

前記公報に提示されている超音波歯ブラシは、図8(A)に示すように柄101の先端に平らな底表面103とテーパ状の上表面104とを有する突出片102を設けるとともに、ブラシ108を一つの表面に設けた頭体107に底表面110を平らとし上表面111をテーパ状とした空所109を形成し、突出片102の上表面104の基端に設けた溝106に係合する舌部112を上表面111の空所109入口端に設けたものとしている。突出片102には圧電振動子113が埋設されており、圧電振動子113は柄101に内蔵した超音波発信器が印加する電圧によって超音波振動を行なう。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、このように取り付けられている頭体107を突出片102から抜き出して取り外すとき、手で引っ張っても抜き出すことができず、特別に準備した専用工具を用いて抜き出すか、または柄101の先端とブラシ108を設けた壁の基端との隙間114にくさび機能を有するねじ回しなどの入手容易な道具を差し込んで頭体107を抜き出し方向へ押し舌部112を溝106から外さなければならない。このため、頭体107の取り外しがきわめて面倒であるばかりか、身の回りの道具を用いる場合は柄101や頭体107を押さえ持っている手の指を傷つける危険、或いは道具に加える力の方向によっては突出部102を折損する心配がある。

本発明はブラシ部分を新しいものに交換するにあたって、緩みやがたつきを生じないように強固に取り付けられているブラシ部分を取り外すには工具類が必要である、という前記課題を解決するためになされたものであって、ブラシ部分が緩みやがたつきを生じることなく、殊に圧電振動子埋設個所とブラシ植毛領域とが隙間なく密着した状態で安定して強固に取り付けられるとともに、工具類を用いることなく手の直接の力で取り外すことができるものとすることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
基端に開放した中空部を有するとともに一つの表面にブラシを有する頭体が、柄の先端に設けられ圧電振動子を埋設している突出片に中空部を嵌装して着脱可能に取り付けられることにより、ブラシ部分を交換可能とした超音波歯ブラシがもっている前記課題を解決するために、本発明は頭体をブラシの植毛領域の基端側にブラシを有しない筒状部を延出させていてブラシを一つの表面の先端側領域に有するものとするとともに、突出片をブラシ植毛領域と向かい合う先端部分に圧電振動子を埋設したものとし、そして頭体のブラシを植毛した壁に対向する背壁の内表面および突出片の背壁に向かい合う外表面のいずれかに設けられ、ブラシ植毛壁のブラシ植毛領域における内表面部分とこれに向かい合う突出片の外表面部分とを互いに圧着させるように働く突起からなる押し付け手段と、頭体および突出片の各基端部に向かい合って設けられ、互いに係合して抜け止めとして働く抜け止め手段とを具えさせたことを第一手段とした。

中空部を突出片に嵌装して頭体を取り付けたとき、先端側の押し付け手段は頭体のブラシ植毛領域内表面部分と突出片の圧電振動子埋設部分の外表面とを互いに密着させ、また押し付け手段と基端側の抜け止め手段とによって緩みやがたつきを生じることなく安定した状態に取り付けられる。取り外すときは柄と頭体を互いに引き離す方向へ引っ張ることにより抜け止め手段の係合が外れ、工具類を用いることなく手の直接の力で容易に取り外すことができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
図面を参照して本発明の実施の形態を説明すると、図1乃至図4は圧電振動子による超音波振動と回転電動機による機械振動との併用または選択使用によって歯磨きを行なう歯ブラシに実施した形態を示す図である。この歯ブラシの柄1は硬質合成樹脂の中空成形品であって基端柄部1Aと先端柄部1Bとからなり、これらは嵌め合わせによって分離可能に結合されている。電源は一般家庭の商用電源に求めることができるが、本実施の形態では充電可能な電池3が用いられている。また、超音波の発信や電動機駆動電流の制御などを行なう電子制御回路基板4と回転電動機6とが電池3とともに硬質合成樹脂製のホルダ8に保持されて柄1に収装されている。

先端柄部1Bは先端に細長い中空角棒状の突出片2を延出させて一体に有しており、細長薄板状の圧電素子からなる圧電振動子5が突出片2の先端に埋設されている。回転電動機6の出力軸には偏心荷重7として働く重錘が取り付けられている。

このように、取り付けの終期および取り外しの初期に僅かな力を加えるだけで工具類を用いることなく頭体10の着脱が行なえるものとした本実施の形態に係る超音波歯ブラシは、大人はもとより子供でも着脱ができることから、ブラシ12が摩耗したときに交換するものに限らず、頭体10を各人別とし柄1を共通の一個として各人が使用するたびに着脱するようにした家族共用タイプのものに殊に好適である。また、頭体10は基端部が口腔外にあるような長さを有しているので、柄1の先端部が口腔に入ることがなく、従って家族間の感染が防止されるという衛生面での効果も期待できる。

以上のように、本発明によるとブラシを有する頭体を工具類を用いることなく手で着脱、殊に取り外しが容易にできるものであり、また緩みやがたつきを生じることなく安定した状態に取り付けることができ、更に動力駆動歯ブラシにおいて振動のエネルギ伝達効率が高いとともに振動に伴う緩みやがたつきを生じさせることがなくすぐれた歯磨き効果が得られるものである。
