該画素電極と液晶層の間に配向膜を有し、

該画素電極と基準電極の間に電位差を生じせしめることにより表示を行い、
前記走査信号線の電位は走査信号線駆動回路より印加され、
該走査信号線駆動回路は走査信号線の非選択電位用電源が供給される入力端子を有する液晶表示装置において、
外部から液晶表示装置への電源供給停止後の、前記非選択電位用電源が供給される入力端子への入力電圧を、通常の駆動状態と異なる値とするための回路を有し、
該回路はツェナーダイオードを有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
