Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.セル・ベース通信受信機を有する衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)受信機内 で処理時間を低減する方法において、 セル・ベース情報ソースから前記SPS受信機の近似位置を決定するステップ であって、前記近似位置がセル・サイトを含むセルラー・サービス・エリアの位 置または前記セル・サイトの位置のうちの少なくとも一方によって決定されるス テップと、 前記近似位置に基づいて、前記SPS受信機に対する少なくとも1つのSPS 衛星の近似ドップラーを決定するステップと、 前記少なくとも1つのSPS衛星までの少なくとも1つの疑似距離を決定する 際または前記少なくとも1つのSPS衛星から信号を捕捉する際のいずれか一方 の処理時間を低減するために前記SPS受信機内で前記近似ドップラーを使用す るステップと を含む方法。 2.前記近似ドップラーを前記セル・サイトから前記セル・ベース通信受信機に 送信するステップをさらに含み、前記セル・サイトが前記セル・ベース通信受信 機と通信可能である請求項1に記載の方法。 3.前記近似位置が、前記セルラー・サービス・エリアによって定義される一般 的な地理的領域内の指定の位置または前記一般的な地理的領域の一部分内に位置 する前記セル・サイトの前記位置のいずれかによって決定される請求項2に記載 の方法。 4.前記少なくとも1つの疑似距離を前記SPS受信機から遠隔処理局に送信す るステップをさらに含む請求項2に記載の方法。 5.前記送信ステップが前記セル・サイトによって行われる請求項4に記載の方 法。 6.前記遠隔処理局が前記セル・サイトに位置する請求項5に記載の方法。 セル・サイトIDから前記近似位置を決定し、前記セル・サイトを介して前記S PS受信機に前記近似ドップラーを供給する請求項8に記載の方法。 11.前記遠隔処理局が前記セル・サイトIDを前記近似位置に関連付けるテー ブルを有する記憶装置を含み、前記遠隔処理局が前記近似位置について所与の時 点での複数の近似ドップラーを指定する情報にアクセスできる請求項10に記載 の方法。 12.前記少なくとも1つの疑似距離を前記SPS受信機から前記セル・サイト を介して遠隔処理局に送信するステップをさらに含み、前記セル・ベース通信受 信機が前記SPS受信機とともに1つのエンクロージャ内に統合される請求項1 に記載の方法。 13.前記遠隔処理局が、前記セル・サイトを含む複数のセル・サイトに結合さ れたセルラー切替えセンターに結合される請求項12に記載の方法。 14.少なくとも1つのワイヤレス・セル・サイトに結合可能なデータ処理局を 使用する方法において、 近似位置を決定するサイト情報を受信するステップであって、前記近似位置が 前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトを含むセルラー・サービス・エリアの位置または 前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトの位置のうちの少なくとも一方によって決定され るステップと、 前記近似位置に基づいて、少なくとも1つのSPS衛星の近似ドップラーを決 定するステップと、 前記近似ドップラーを前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトに送信するステップとを 含む方法。 15.前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトから少なくとも1つの疑似距離を受信する ステップをさらに含み、前記疑似距離が前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトと通信可 能なセル・ベース通信受信機を有する衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)受信機に よって供給される請求項14に記載の方法。 16.前記SPS受信機からの位置情報を求める要求を送信するステップであっ て、前記要求が前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトに送信されるステップをさらに含 む請求項15に記載の方法。 17.要求を送信する前記ステップが、前記近似ドップラーを送信する前記ステ ップの後で行われる請求項16に記載の方法。 18.前記データ処理局が複数のワイヤレス・セル・サイトに結合可能である請 求項15に記載の方法。 19.前記サイト情報が前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトを識別し、前記データ処 理局が前記サイト情報から前記近似位置を決定する請求項15に記載の方法。 20.前記サイト情報が前記近似位置を供給する請求項15に記載の方法。 21.前記データ処理局が、所与の時点での複数の近似ドップラーを指定する情 報を含む記憧装置にアクセスする請求項15に記載の方法。 22.前記近似位置と前記少なくとも1つの疑似距離とを使用して、前記SPS 受信機に関する位置情報を決定する請求項15に記載の方法。 23.プロセッサと、 前記プロセッサに結合された記憶装置と、 前記プロセッサに結合されたトランシーバとを含むデータ処理局であって、前 記トランシーバが前記データ処理局をワイヤレス・セル・サイトに結合するため のものであり、前記記憶装置が、前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトを含むセルラー ・サービス・エリアの位置または前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトの位置のうちの 少なくとも一方によって決定された近似位置について所与の時点での少なくとも 1つの近似ドップラーを指定する情報を含み、前記トランシーバが前記近似位置 を決定するサイト情報を受信し、前記プロセッサが少なくとも1つのSPS衛星 に関する近似ドップラーを決定し、前記近似ドップラーが前記近似位置に基づき 、前記トランシーバが前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトに前記近似ドップラーを送 信するデータ処理局。 24.前記プロセッサに結合されたSPS信号のソースをさらに含み、前記トラ ンシーバが前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトから少なくとも1つの疑似距離を受信 し、前記プロセッサが前記SPS信号と前記少なくとも1つの疑似距離とを使用 して、前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトと通信可能な衛星位置決めシステム(SP S)受信機に関する位置情報を決定する請求項23に記載のデータ処理局。 25.前記データ処理システムが、他のデータ処理システムに前記位置情報を供 給するための要求を出す前記他のデータ処理システムに結合可能である請求項2 4に記載のデータ処理システム。 26.前記データ処理システムと前記他のデータ処理システムがインターネット SPS信号のソースを受信するステップと 前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトから少なくとも1つの疑似距離を受信するステ ップと、 前記少なくとも1つの疑似距離と前記SPS信号とを処理して、前記少なくと も1つの疑似距離を供給したSPS受信機に関する位置情報を決定するステップ と をさらに含む請求項28に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。 30.前記近似位置と前記SPS信号と前記少なくとも1つの疑似距離とを処理 して、前記位置情報を決定する請求項29に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。 31.移動衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)受信機内で局部発振器信号を供給す る方法において、 搬送周波数と前記搬送周波数上で変調されたデータ信号とを有する信号を受信 するステップと、 前記搬送周波数上で変調された前記データ信号から基準信号を抽出するステッ プと、 SPS信号を捕捉するための局部発振器信号を供給するように前記基準信号を 使用するステップと を含む方法。 32.前記搬送周波数上で変調された前記データ信号が擬似ランダム・シーケン スを含む請求項31に記載の方法。 33.前記信号が符号分割多重アクセス方式システムまたは時分割多重アクセス 方式システムのいずれかで機能する請求項31に記載の方法。 34.前記抽出ステップが、前記搬送周波数上で変調された前記データ信号に自 動的にロックするステップを含む請求項31に記載の方法。 35.前記使用ステップが、前記基準信号と前記SPS受信機内の局部発振器に よって生成された発振器信号とを比較するステップを含む請求項31に記載の方 法。 36.前記使用ステップが、周波数合成器に前記基準信号を供給するステップと 、前記基準信号および前記周波数合成器から前記局部発振器信号を生成するステ ップとを含む請求項31に記載の方法。 37.前記基準信号によって前記発振器信号を較正して前記局部発振器信号を供 給する請求項35に記載の方法。 38.前記搬送周波数上で変調された前記データ信号がディジタル信号である請 求項31に記載の方法。 39.ワイヤレス・セル・ベース送信機を有する衛星位置決めシステム(SPS )受信機の位置を決定する方法において、 セル・ベース情報ソースから前記SPS受信機の近似位置を決定するステップ であって、前記近似位置が前記セル・ベース送信機と通信可能なワイヤレス・セ ル・サイトを含むセルラー・サービス・エリアの位置または前記ワイヤレス・セ ル・サイトの位置のうちの少なくとも一方によって決定されるステップと、 SPS信号のソースを受信するステップと、 前記ワイヤレス・セル・ベース送信機から複数の疑似距離データを受信するス テップであって、前記複数の疑似距離データが前記SPS受信機によって決定さ れるステップと、 前記SPS受信機の位置情報を計算するために、SPS信号と前記複数の疑似 距離と前記近似位置とを使用するステップと を含む方法。 40.搬送周波数と前記搬送周波数上で変調されたデータ信号とを有する信号を 送信するステップであって、前記SPS受信機が前記搬送周波数と前記データ信 号のうちの一方を使用して、SPS信号を捕捉するために使用する局部発振器信 号を供給するステップをさらに含む請求項39に記載の方法。 41.前記セル・ベース通信受信機が前記セル・サイトからのセルラー送信から 前記近似位置を決定し、前記セル・ベース通信受信機が、前記近似ドップラーを 決定し、前記近似ドップラーを前記セル・サイトから前記セル・ベース通信受信 機に送信させる遠隔処理局に前記近似位置を送信する請求項1に記載の方法。 42.前記近似位置に基づいて、前記SPS受信機に対する少なくとも1つのS PS衛星の近似ドップラーを決定するステップと、 前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトを介して前記SPS受信機に前記近似ドップラ ーを送信するステップとをさらに含む請求項39に記載の方法。 43.搬送周波数と前記搬送周波数上で変調されたデータ信号とを有する信号を 送信するステップであって、前記SPS受信機が前記搬送周波数と前記データ信 号のうちの一方を使用して、SPS信号を捕捉するために使用する局部発振器信 号を供給するステップをさらに含む請求項42に記載の方法。 44.搬送周波数と前記搬送周波数上で変調されたデータ信号とを有する信号を 送信するステップであって、前記SPS受信機が前記搬送周波数と前記データ信 号のうちの一方を使用して、SPS信号を捕捉するために使用する局部発振器信 号を供給するステップをさらに含む請求項15に記載の方法。 45.衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)受信機にドップラー情報を供給する方法 において、 ワイヤレス・セル・サイトの位置または前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトを含む セルラー・サービス・エリアの位置のうちの少なくとも一方に基づいて近似位置 から複数の近似ドップラー・データを決定するステップであって、前記複数の近 似ドップラー・データが対応する複数の衛星に関するものであるステップと、 前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトのワイヤレス・セルラー送信機から前記ワイヤ レス・セル・サイトが対応するセル内の複数のSPS受信機に前記複数の近似ド ップラー・データを同報通信するステップと を含む方法。 46.前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトから少なくとも1つの疑似距離を受信する ステップであって、前記疑似距離が、前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトと通信する セル・ベース・ワイヤレス送信機を有するSPS受信機によって供給されるステ ップをさらに含む請求項45に記載の方法。 47.SPS信号のソースからのSPS信号を使用し、前記疑似距離と前記近似 位置とを使用することにより、前記SPS受信機の位置情報を計算するステップ をさらに含む請求項46に記載の方法。 48.搬送周波数と前記搬送周波数上で変調されたデータ信号とを有する信号を 送信するステップであって、前記SPS受信機が前記搬送周波数と前記データ信 号のうちの一方を使用して、SPS信号を捕捉するために使用する局部発振器信 号を供給するステップをさらに含む請求項46に記載の方法。 49.衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)受信機に衛星情報を供給する方法におい て、 セル・ベース情報ソースから近似位置を決定するステップであって、前記近似 位置がワイヤレス・セル・サイトを含むセルラー・サービス・エリアの位置また は前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトの位置のうちの少なくとも一方に基づくもので あり、前記近似位置から見えるところにある対応する複数の衛星に関する複数の 衛星天体暦データを決定するステップと、 前記ワイヤレス・セル・サイトのワイヤレス・セルラー送信機から前記ワイヤ レス・セル・サイトが対応するセル内の複数のSPS受信機に前記複数の衛星天 体暦データを送信するステップと を含む方法。 50.前記送信ステップが、前記セル内の複数のSPS受信機に前記複数の衛星 天体暦データを同報通信するステップを含む請求項49に記載の方法。 51.前記SPS受信機によって決定される複数の疑似距離データをそのSPS 受信機から受信するステップをさらに含む請求項49に記載の方法。 52.SPS信号のソースからのSPS信号と前記複数の疑似距離とを使用する ことにより、前記SPS受信機の位置情報を計算するステップをさらに含む請求 項51に記載の方法。 53.前記位置情報が前記近似位置を使用することによっても計算される請求項 52に記載の方法。 54.搬送周波数と前記搬送周波数上で変調されたデータ信号とを有する信号を 送信するステップであって、前記SPS受信機が前記搬送周波数と前記データ信 号のうちの一方を使用して、SPS信号を捕捉するために使用する局部発振器信 号を供給するステップをさらに含む請求項52に記載の方法。 55.前記セル・サイトから前記セル・ベース通信受信機に前記近似ドップラー を送信するステップをさらに含み、前記近似ドップラーが、前記セル・サイトに 結合され、前記セルラー・サービス・エリアまたは前記セル・サイトのうちの少 なくとも一方のIDを前記セル・ベース通信受信機から受信する遠隔処理局によ って決定される請求項1に記載の方法。 56.前記遠隔処理局が、前記セル・ベース通信受信機によって前記遠隔処理局 に送信される前記IDから前記近似ドップラーを決定する請求項55に記載の方 法。 57.前記IDが前記セル・サイトによって前記セル・ベース通信受信機に供給 され、前記セル・ベース通信受信機が前記セル・サイトを介して前記遠隔処理局 に前記IDを送信する請求項56に記載の方法。 58.前記セル・ベース通信受信機が、前記セル・サイトによって前記セル・ベ ース通信受信機に送信された信号から前記IDを導出する請求項56に記載の方 法。 59.前記信号が、前記セル・サイトに対応する擬似ランダム(PN)コードで ある請求項58に記載の方法。 60.前記信号がCDMAシステムで送信される請求項59に記載の方法。 61.前記近似ドップラーを前記セル・サイトから前記セル・ベース通信受信機 に送信させる遠隔処理局でその近似ドップラーが決定され、前記セル・ベース通 65.結合された移動衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)受信機と通信受信機にお いて、 搬送周波数上で変調されたデータ信号を有する通信信号を受信する第1のアン テナと、 前記第1のアンテナに結合され、データ信号から基準信号を生成するデータ信 号捕捉追跡回路と、 前記基準信号を受信するために前記捕捉追跡回路に結合され、前記SPS受信 機内でSPS信号を捕捉するために局部発振器信号を生成する周波数合成器と を含むSPS受信機と通信受信機。 66.前記捕捉追跡回路内にあって、前記基準信号を供給する電圧制御式発振器 (VCO)をさらに含み、 前記データ信号が擬似ランダム・シーケンスを含む請求項65に記載の結合さ れたSPS受信機と通信受信機。 67.前記データ信号にロックすることにより前記基準信号が生成される請求項 65に記載の結合されたSPS受信機と通信受信機。 68.セル・ベース通信受信機を有する移動衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)受 信機の位置情報を決定する方法において、 複数の異なる位置に関する複数のディファーレンシャルSPS補正データを受 信するステップと、 前記複数のディファーレンシャルSPS補正データから第1の位置に関する第 1のディファーレンシャルSPS補正データを選択するステップであって、セル ・サイトを含むセルラー・サービス・エリアの位置または前記セル・サイトの位 置のうちの少なくとも一方によってセル・ベース情報ソースから決定される近似 位置に基づいて前記第1のディファーレンシャルSPS補正データが選択される ステップと、 前記SPS受信機から複数の疑似距離データを受信するステップであって、前 記複数の疑似距離データと前記第1のディファーレンシャルSPS補正データと を使用して前記位置を決定するステップと を含む方法。 69.前記位置を決定するために使用する衛星天体暦データを受信するステップ をさらに含む請求項68に記載の方法。 70.前記セル・サイトを含むセル・ベース通信システムを介して前記セル・ベ ース通信受信機と通信可能なデータ処理局で前記位置が決定される請求項69に 記載の方法。 71.前記SPS受信機が、サイト情報を使用して前記近似位置を決定する前記 データ処理局に前記サイト情報を供給する請求項70に記載の方法。 72.前記近似位置に基づいて、前記SPS受信機に対する少なくとも1つのS PS衛星の近似ドップラーを決定するステップと、 前記近似ドップラーを前記SPS受信機に送信するステップと、 前記SPS受信機内で前記近似ドップラーを使用するステップとをさらに含む 請求項71に記載の方法。 前記SPS受信機から見えるところにある複数のSPS衛星に関する衛星暦情 報を前記SPS受信機で受信するステップと、 セル・サイトを含むセルラー・サービス・エリアの位置または前記セル・サイ トの位置のうちの少なくとも一方によって前記SPS受信機の近似位置を決定す るステップと、 前記衛星暦情報と前記近似位置とを使用して、前記SPS衛星のうちの少なく とも1つに関する近似ドップラーを決定するステップとを含む方法。
