Abstract

(57)【要約】 【課題】 光透過性熱可塑性樹脂同士であっても、的確
に溶着することができるレーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂の
2次成形加工方法を提供する。 【解決手段】 レーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂部材の2次
成形加工方法において、2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部
材1,2間に固形状無機物3を介在させ、前記固形状無
機物3にレーザーの焦点を合わせて照射、加熱し、同時
に前記2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材1,2の上下か
ら圧力Fを加え、前記固形状無機物3からの熱6が樹脂
に伝導し、光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材1,2同士を溶着
させ、樹脂接合7を完成すると同時に固形状無機物3′
を内包させる。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、レーザーによる熱
可塑性樹脂の2次成形加工方法に関するものである。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来、熱可塑性樹脂の2次成形加工技術
としては、一般的な接着剤を使う方法以外に、超音波接
合や振動接合が行われているが、熱可塑性樹脂の接合に
関しては効率的で安定な作業が期待できる新技術として
レーザー溶着法が使われている(特開平11−1703
71号公報参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、従来の
熱可塑性樹脂のレーザー溶着技術では、光透過性熱可塑
性樹脂同士では光の吸収体がないため溶着させることが
出来ず、必ず一方は光吸収樹脂を使わなければならなか
った。
【0004】本発明は、上記問題点を除去し、光透過性
熱可塑性樹脂同士であっても、的確に溶着することがで
きるレーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂の2次成形加工方法を
提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、上記目的を達
成するために、 〔1〕レーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂部材の2次成形加工
方法において、2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材に無機
材料を介在させ、前記無機材料にレーザーの焦点を合わ
せて照射、加熱し、同時に前記2枚の光透過性熱可塑性
樹脂部材の上下から圧力を加え、前記無機材料からの熱
が樹脂に伝導し、光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着
させ、樹脂接合を完成すると同時に無機材料を内包させ
ることを特徴とする。

可塑性樹脂部材の2次成形加工方法において、前記無機
材料は固形状物体であり、前記2枚の光透過性熱可塑性
樹脂部材間に挟み込むことを特徴とする。
【0007】〔3〕上記〔1〕記載のレーザーによる熱
可塑性樹脂部材の2次成形加工方法において、前記無機
材料は粉末であり、前記2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部
材間に挟み込むことを特徴とする。
【0008】〔4〕レーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂部材の
2次成形加工方法において、光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材
に予め無機材料を埋め込み、重ね合わせ、前記無機材料
にレーザーの焦点を合わせて照射、加熱し、同時に前記
2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材の上下から圧力を加
え、前記無機材料からの熱が樹脂に伝導し、光透過性熱
可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着させ、樹脂接合を完成すると
同時に無機材料を内包させることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面
を参照しながら詳細に説明する。
【0010】図1は本発明の第1実施例を示すレーザー
による熱可塑性樹脂部材のレーザー溶着工程断面図であ
る。
【0011】(1)まず、図1(a)に示すように、第
1の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材1と第2の光透過性熱可
塑性樹脂部材2との間に固形状無機物3を挟み込む。
【0012】(2)次に、図1(b)に示すように、固
形状無機物3にレーザーモジュール4からレーザー光5
の焦点を合わせて照射、加熱し、同時に第1の光透過性
熱可塑性樹脂部材1と第2の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材
2の上下から圧力Fを加える。
【0013】(3)すると、図1(c)に示すように、
固形状無機物3からの熱6が第1の光透過性熱可塑性樹
脂部材1と第2の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材2に伝導
し、熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着させる。
【0014】(4)そこで、図1(d)に示すように、
樹脂接合7を完成すると同時に固形状無機物3′をも内
包させることができる。
【0015】上記したように、2枚の光透過性熱可塑性
樹脂部材に固形状の無機材料を挟み込み、その無機材料
にレーザーの焦点を合わせて照射、加熱し、同時に上下
から圧力を加えることにより、無機材料からの熱が樹脂
に伝導し、熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着させ、樹脂接合
を完成すると同時に無機材料をも内包させる。
【0016】したがって、2枚の熱可塑性樹脂部材間に
固形状の無機材料を挟み込むだけで、容易に、光透過性
熱可塑性樹脂部材同士の溶融接合が可能となる。
【0017】図2は本発明の第2実施例を示すレーザー
による熱可塑性樹脂部材のレーザー溶着工程断面図であ
る。
【0018】(1)まず、図2(a)に示すように、第
1の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材11と第2の光透過性熱
可塑性樹脂部材12との間に粉末状無機物13を挟み込
む。
【0019】(2)次に、図2(b)に示すように、粉
末状無機物13にレーザー光14の焦点を合わせて照
射、加熱し、右方向へ走査し、同時に第1の光透過性熱
可塑性樹脂部材11と第2の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材
12の上下から圧力Fを加える。
【0020】(3)すると、図2(c)に示すように、
粉末状無機物13からの熱が第1の光透過性熱可塑性樹
脂部材11と第2の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材12に伝
導し、熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着させ、樹脂接合15
を完成する。
【0021】上記したように、2枚の光透過性熱可塑性
樹脂部材に粉末状の無機材料を挟み込み、その無機材料
にレーザーの焦点を合わせて照射、加熱し、同時に上下
から圧力を加えることにより、無機材料からの熱が樹脂
に伝導し、熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着させ、樹脂接合
を完成すると同時に無機材料をも内包させることができ
る。
【0022】したがって、2枚の熱可塑性樹脂部材間に
粉末状の無機材料を挟み込むだけで、容易に、光透過性
熱可塑性樹脂部材同士の溶融接合が可能となる。
【0023】図3は本発明の第3実施例を示すレーザー
による熱可塑性樹脂部材のレーザー溶着工程断面図であ
る。
【0024】(1)まず、図3(a)に示すように、予
め第1の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材22に対向する側の
第2の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材21内に固形状無機物
23を埋め込んでおく。
【0025】(2)次に、図3(b)に示すように、固
形状無機物23にレーザー光24の焦点を合わせて照
射、加熱し、同時に第1の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材2
1と第2の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材22の上下から圧
力Fを加える。
【0026】(3)すると、図3(c)に示すように、
固形状無機物23からの熱が第1の光透過性熱可塑性樹
脂部材21と第2の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材22に伝
導し、熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着させ、樹脂接合25
を完成すると同時に固形状無機物23′をも内包させ
る。
【0027】上記したように、2枚の光透過性熱可塑性
樹脂部材のうちのいずれかに予め無機材料を埋め込んで
おき、その無機材料にレーザーの焦点を合わせて照射、
加熱し、同時に上下から圧力を加えることにより無機材
料からの熱が樹脂に伝導し、熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶
着させ、樹脂接合を完成すると同時に無機材料をも内包
させることができる。
【0028】さらに、本発明を利用することにより、無
機材料内包による新たな局所的機能性ポリマーアロイの
製造が可能となる。また、3次元的な無機材料を内包す
る材料でも複雑な装置を用いずに2次成形を行うことが
できる。
【0029】なお、本発明は上記実施例に限定されるも
のではなく、本発明の趣旨に基づいて種々の変形が可能
であり、これらを本発明の範囲から排除するものではな
い。

【発明の効果】以上、詳細に説明したように、本発明に
よれば、以下のような効果を奏することができる。
【0031】(A)光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材同士の溶
融接合が可能となる。
【0032】(B)無機材料の内包による新たな局所的
機能性ポリマーアロイを得ることができる。
【0033】(C)3次元的な無機材料を内包する樹脂
でも複雑な装置を用いずに2次成形加工が可能となる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 レーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂部材の2次
    成形加工方法において、(a)2枚の光透過性熱可塑性
    樹脂部材に無機材料を介在させ、(b)前記無機材料に
    レーザーの焦点を合わせて照射、加熱し、同時に前記2
    枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材の上下から圧力を加え、
    前記無機材料からの熱が樹脂に伝導し、光透過性熱可塑
    性樹脂部材同士を溶着させ、樹脂接合を完成すると同時
    に無機材料を内包させることを特徴とするレーザーによ
    る熱可塑性樹脂部材の2次成形加工方法。
  2. 【請求項2】 請求項1記載のレーザーによる熱可塑性
    樹脂部材の2次成形加工方法において、前記無機材料は
    固形状物体であり、前記2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部
    材間に挟み込むことを特徴とするレーザーによる熱可塑
    性樹脂部材の2次成形加工方法。
  3. 【請求項3】 請求項1記載のレーザーによる熱可塑性
    樹脂部材の2次成形加工方法において、前記無機材料は
    粉末であり、前記2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材間に
    挟み込むことを特徴とするレーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂
    部材の2次成形加工方法。
  4. 【請求項4】 レーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂部材の2次
    成形加工方法において、(a)光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部
    材に予め無機材料を埋め込み、重ね合わせ、(b)前記
    無機材料にレーザーの焦点を合わせて照射、加熱し、同
    時に前記2枚の光透過性熱可塑性樹脂部材の上下から圧
    力を加え、前記無機材料からの熱が樹脂に伝導し、光透
    過性熱可塑性樹脂部材同士を溶着させ、樹脂接合を完成
    すると同時に無機材料を内包させることを特徴とするレ
    ーザーによる熱可塑性樹脂部材の2次成形加工方法。
