Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 通信装置が、複数のサービスプロバイダ環境下で、無線通信サービスプロ バイダを探索する方法において、 所定の順序で複数のバンドを備えている周波数バンド探索スケジュールを記憶 するステップ、 以前の各バンドの登録に基づいて、周波数バンド探索スケジュール中の複数の バンドの少なくとも幾つかのバンドを順序立てするステップと、 周波数バンド探索スケジュールで規定された順序で複数のバンドを調べること によって、許容できるサービスプロバイダを見付け出すまで周波数バンドを調べ るステップと、 を含むことを特徴とする複数のサービスプロバイダ環境下無線通信サービスプ ロバイダ探索方法。 2. 周波数バンド探索スケジュールの各周波数バンドの登録を示す複数のカウ ンタを記憶するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方法 。 3. 周波数バンド探索スケジュールの周波数バンドに相当するカウンタを、そ の周波数バンドの登録に当たって増分するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする 請求の範囲2に記載の方法。 4. 前記カウンタへの増分が時間で重みが付けられていることを特徴とする請 求の範囲3に記載の方法。 5. 周波数バンドを調べるステップが、周波数バンド探索スケジュールにおけ る順序が一定である周波数バンドを調べるステップを含むことを特徴とする請求 の範囲1に記載の方法。 6. 無線インターフェイスで伝送される情報を用いて周波数バンド探索スケジ ュールを修正するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方 法。 7. キィーパッドからの情報を用いて周波数バンド探索スケジュールを修正す るステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
