Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1 サンプル媒体中の気体の分圧を決定するためのポーラログラフセンサ ー装置であって、 a)一対の間隔をおかれた電極を連結する、実質的に吸湿性を有する電解質組 成であって前記一対の電極の一方が感知電極である、電解質組成と、 b)気体に対しては透過性を有するが前記電解質に対しては不透過性を示す膜 であって前記サンプル媒体から両電極と前記電解質とを分離するための前部を有 する膜と、 c)本体部および縁部を有するスリーブを含むファスナーであって前記本体部 が前記ファスナーと前記膜の側部とを保持し、また、前記縁部が前記膜の前部の 一部分を保持しかつ前記感知電極から間隔をおいた関係に実質的に前記前部の全 部を保持する、ファスナーとを含む、ポーラログラフセンサー装置。 2 前記膜は、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、フッ素化アルカンのポリ マー、シリコーンゴム、テフロン、パーフルオロアルコキシポリマーおよびパー フルオロアルコキシ−テフロンからなるグループから選択される、請求項1に記 載の装置。 3 前記膜はパーフルオロアルコキシ−テフロンからなる、請求項2に記 載の装置。 4 前記膜は、パーフルオロアルコキシ−テフロンの気体および透過性に 近い気体および透過性を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。 5 前記膜の厚さは約1ミルから約3ミルである、請求項1に記載の装置 。 6 前記膜の厚さは約1ミルである、請求項5に記載の装置。 7 前記気体は、酸素および二酸化炭素からなるグループから選択される 、請求項1に記載の装置。 8 前記感知電極は陰極である、請求項1に記載の装置。 9 前記陰極はワイヤである、請求項8に記載の装置。 10 前記ワイヤは、プラチナ、金、銀およびロジウムからなるグループ から選択される、請求項9に記載の装置。 11 前記ワイヤはロジウムからなる、請求項10に記載の装置。 12 前記第2の電極は陽極である、請求項1に記載の装置。 13 前記陽極はワイヤからなる、請求項12に記載の装置。 14 前記ワイヤは、亜鉛、カドミウム、鉛および銀からなるグループか ら選択される、請求項13に記載の装置。 15 前記ワイヤは銀からなる、請求項14に記載の装置。 16 前記電解質組成は、塩化カリウムおよび塩化リチウムからなるグル ープから選択される、請求項1に記載の装置。 17 前記電解質組成は塩化リチウムを含む、請求項16に記載の装置。 18 前記塩化リチウムは、約0.02Mから約0.2Mの濃度を有する 、請求項17に記載の装置。 19 前記塩化リチウムは、約0.02Mから約0.10Mの濃度を有す る、請求項18に記載の装置。 20 前記塩化リチウムは、約0.025Mの濃度を有する、請求項19 に記載の装置。 21 前記スリーブはエラストマーからなる、請求項1に記載の装置。 22 前記ファスナーは、さらに、前記膜を、間隔をおいた関係に保持す るためのガスケットを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 23 前記電解質組成は、さらに、グリセロールまたはエチレングリコー ルを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 24 前記グリセロールは、約5%から約20%の濃度である、請求項2 3に記載の装置。 25 前記グリセロールの濃度は、約10%である、請求項24に記載の 装置。 26 サンプル媒体中の気体の分圧を決定するためのポーラログラフセン サー装置であって、 a)一対の間隔をおいた電極を連結する、実質的に吸湿性を有する電解質組成 であって該電解質組成が約0.02Mから約0.1Mの塩化リチウムからなり、 前記一対の電極の一方が感知電極である、電解質組成と、 b)気体に対しては透過性を有するが前記電解質に対しては不透過性を示す膜 であって前記サンプル媒体から両電極と前記電解質とを分離するための前部を有 する膜と、 c)本体部および縁部を有するスリーブを含むファスナーであって前記本体部 が前記ファスナーと前記膜の側部とを保持し、また、前記縁部が前記膜の前部の 一部分を保持しかつ前記感知電極から間隔をおいた関係に実質的に前記前部の全 部を保持する、ファスナーとを含む、ポーラログラフセンサー装置。 27 前記ファスナーは、さらに、前記膜を、間隔をおいた関係に保持す るためのガスケットを含む、請求項26に記載の装置。 28 サンプル媒体中の気体の分圧を決定するためのポーラログラフセン サー装置であって、 a)ハウジングであって内部空洞、第1の端部および外部表面を有するハウジ ングと、 b)前記管状のハウジングの内部に配置された、一対の間隔をおいた電極を連 結する、実質的に吸湿性を有する電解質組成であって前記一対の電極の一方が感 知電極である、電解質組成と、 c)気体に対しては透過性を有するが前記電解質に対しては不透過性を示す膜 であって前記ハウジングの第1の端部を覆う前部を有する膜と、 d)本体部および縁部を有するスリーブを含むファスナーであって前記本体部 が前記ファスナーと前記膜の側部とを前記ハウジングの外部表面に保持し、また 、前記縁部が前記膜の前部の一部分を保持しかつ前記感知電極から間隔をおいた 関係に実質的に前記前部の全部を保持する、ファスナーとを含む、ポーラログラ フセンサー装置。 29 サンプル媒体中の気体の分圧を決定するための方法であって、 a)請求項1に記載の装置に前記サンプル媒体を接触させること、 b)前記両電極間に電圧を印加すること、 c)前記両電極間に生じた、前記サンプル中の前記気体の分圧に比例する電流 を測定すること、 d)前記サンプル中の前記気体の分圧を決定することを含む、気体の分圧決定 方法。
