Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct an endoscope without increase in an outer diameter of a tip part even in the case of an side-looking endoscope provided with plural light-emitting diodes on the outer periphery of an object optical system. SOLUTION: A substrate 21 provided with plural light-emitting diodes 19 assembled in one piece is in a plane containing the endoscope center axis 25. Similarly, a part of an object 1st surface lens is also in the plane containing the endoscope center axis 25. For a same outer diameter, the largest area is available in the plane containing the endoscope center axis 25, therefore, it is possible to reduce the outer diameter of the tip part 3 of the endoscope as small as possible by arranging the light-emitting diode 19 part group on this plane.
