Abstract
Oggetto dell'invenzione è una struttura composita di matrice metallica rinforzata con fibre, comprendente fibre rivestite consolidate, dette fibre comprendendo un materiale fibroso ceramico, carbonioso o metallico avente su di esso un rivestimento di un materiale di matrice metallico, il rivestimento essendo sostanzialmente uniforme ed avendo una morfologia che è realizzata a grana fine e sostanzialmente priva di vuoti e detta struttura composita essendo anche essa sostanzialmente priva di vuoti. Uno strato di barriera/interfaccia può essere fornito fra la fibra e la matrice metallica. E' anche descritto un procedimento per la formazione della struttura composita di matrice metallica, come anche le fibre che sono rivestite con il materiale di matrice metallica.
