Abstract

The appliance according to the invention has a rectangular metal basket 6, in the form of a parallelepiped, in which is placed charcoal, or it has any other heat source able to irradiate heat onto one or two vertical and opposite surfaces, of sufficiently broad dimension, opposite which are placed on the edge and at an adjustable distance corresponding grills 9 with food being cooked. The liquids which the food forms in the cooking phase, or which are poured onto the food itself for better cooking of same, flow down uniformly on the exposed surfaces of the food itself and remain on them for a long time before dropping into a connection tub 13, placed underneath the grill. The appliance thus enables a gentle cooking of the food, it prevents the formation of smoke and flames since the liquids flowing from the food do not fall onto the heat source and it has significant operating efficiency because it irradiates heat from two opposite surfaces and therefore allows the simultaneous use of no fewer than two grills. <IMAGE>
