Abstract

La presente invenzione si riferisce ad un nuovo processo continuo in sospensione per la produzione di Gomma Butile (IIR) ed ai dispositivi atti a realizzarlo. Il nuovo processo permette sostanziali risparmi d'energia e d'investimento rispetto ai processi noti. Nel nuovo processo la polimerizzazlone avviene a -5OC° anziché a -1OOC°, mediante impiego di speciali catalizzatori. I1 calore di polimerizzazione viene dissipato mediante ebollizione del mezzo di reazione, anziché per scambio termico attraverso le pareti del reattore di polimerizzazione. Quest'ultimo è un reattore tri-fasico, contenente una fase polimerica, una liquida ed una vapore, disegnato in modo da: l)omogeneizzare la fase liquida in ogni punto del reattore, 2)convogliare (scremare) il polimero formato verso lo scarico del reattore, 3)separare la fase vapore verso il cielo del reattore. Il polimero scaricato dal reattore viene torchiato, facendo rifluire il liquido nel reattore. Mediante la combinazione di tutte le caratteristiche critiche sopraddette, l'energia di produzione della IIR può essere abbattuta di oltre il 20% e l'investimento di oltre il 30%. Lo schema del processo è mostrato nella fig.1.
