Abstract
Prepn. of substd. amino-benzene derivs. is effected by direct amination of the substd. benzenes using N-chloroamino in the presence of a redox system in an acid reaction medium. Provides simple and economic process for the preparation of amino-phenylureas and amino-carbanilates which are useful as intermediates for the prepn. of dyes and pigments, herbicides and as couplers for the preparation of azo dyes.
