Abstract

A pick up hitch comprising a frame and a towing arm for coupling with a towing implement of another vehicle. The towing arm is pivotally connected to the frame to pivot between a lowered position and a raised position. The towing arm further comprises a telescopic bar movable between extended and retracted positions and a latching mechanism wherein the latching mechanism locks the telescopic bar in a retracted position. The latching mechanism comprising a latching member movably fastened to the frame. The latching member is normally biased into a latching position but is movable into a release position by application of an external force to overcome the bias force and returnable into the latching position upon withdrawal of the external force.
