Abstract
The invention relates to a fluid compression arrangement operating with thermal energy, which arrangement comprises two, at least, closed containers-exchangers which are of whatever size, shape and construction material, mutually connected to an in-series piping system and periodically isolated or intercommunicating with the assistance of system of gate valves, solenoid valves or valves, so that the fluid can be advanced from the low-pressure inlet to the high-pressure outlet of the arrangement, the fluid pressure getting synchronically augmented. One of the main possibilities of said arrangement is compression without mechanical energy; another possibility is the unhindered compression of fluids under boiling condition. Said arrangement can be incorporated to circuits or applications where pressure increase between two positions is needed; for instance, it can take the place of the compressor of a heat pump or of a pump in a Rankine cycle or of both in a combinational electricity-cooling co-production application.
