Abstract

multiple point locking arrangement for sliding door or window leaves is described which is characterized by that it consists of two co-operating adjacent oblong blades 1 and 2, of which blade 1 is rigidly supported on a large number of points of the sliding leaf 15, with support stops 23 and the other blade 2 bears a number of tongues 7 equal in number to the locking points and reciprocates so that the proposed multiple-point locking arrangement is set alternately or at will to the locking orunlocking position. The arrangement also contains an arrangement for the automatic retreat and then the return of the blade 2 that bears the locking tongues 7 in order to prevent damage of the locking tongues 7 and/or the relative facing parts 11 inthe case of unintentional collision of the sliding leaf to the casing with the locking tongues 7 in the locking position, as well as a means for immobilizing it to the locking position. The arrangement is alternatively connected to an existing carrier lock or contains a similar mechanism and operation handle.
