Abstract

The invention relates to the encapsulation of the niflumic acid in liposomes for creating a new transdermal non steroid anti-inflamatory preparation. Various pharmaceutical molecules are encapsulated in liposomes (spherical lipid constructions), by techniques such as the active transfer or the encapsulation of the medecine in lipid double-layers. The aim of this technology is to improve the pharmacokinetic properties of said molecules, and increase the selectivity of the medecines concerning the tissues as well as their absorption by the skin. The niflumic acid and its esters are encapsulated in liposomes of different lipid composition by the aforementioned techniques with the purpose of improving the efficiency of the drastic substance. Furthermore, the physico-chemical characteristics of the liposomal suspension with or without the encapsulated medecine, such as size, stability in diverse preservation conditions as to the temperature and the moisture, are measured. The process continues with the shaping in cream of the liposomal suspension with or without the encapsulated medecine as well as with the stability study of the final pharmacoceutical form. The final product is, finally, tested for its permeability, in vitro, on the human skin and, in vivo, for its efficienfy, following precise protocols.
