Abstract

980,830. Method of erecting buildings; building slabs. SOC. DE TRAVAUX POUR LA CONSTRUCTION ET L'HABITAT INDUSTRIELS-TRACOBA. March 5, 1963, No. 8803/63. Headings E1A and E1B. In a building constructed from side, end and partition walls and flooring slabs, each consisting of prefabricated reinforced concrete panels, the flooring slabs 23, Fig. 3, are provided with reinforced lugs 25 to rest on the partition walls of a lower storey, see also Fig. 6 (not shown), the side walls 1, Fig. 5, are supported by lateral attachments 9 to the partition walls 11 or end walls, the reinforcement incorporated in the partition panels extend therebeyond for interlocking purposes and the end walls 14 are recessed to form a scarf joint 15 with the floor slabs. The concrete panels incorporate a metallic lattice work reinforcement and an expanded polystyrene sheet for insulation purposes, an external covering of stoneware, mosaic tiling or mortar being provided as necessary.
