Heading F2P In a method of making a rigid tube or pipe in situ a member formed from flexible tubular membrane material, e.g. polythene, and comprising an outer tube 1 within which lies and to which is attached at least one inner tube 2 of smaller cross-sectional area than the tube 1 when the outer tube is laid in the required position, the inner tube is inflated before, during or after such laying, and the space between the outer tube and the inner tube is then filled with concrete, grout or other setting material 1A so as to provide a rigid tube the wall of which is lined by what was the inner tube. In modifications, (a) the tube 2 is connected to the tube 1 by an additional twopart web, and (b) there are a number of tubes 12, attached by webs 11 to a tube 10.
