Abstract

979,065. Flexible tubes. BTR INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 25, 1962 [April 25, 1961], No. 14960/61. Heading F2P. [Also in Division H2] A non-corrugated wire braid tube 11 fits tightly around a corrugated plastic tube 10 when the latter has its normal working length and is anchored to the plastic tube at positions spaced apart along the length of the plastic tube, the wire braid comprising an open structure whereby the combined tubes can be contracted axially. Ferrules 13 and 14 may be attached to the tubes in the manner described in Specification 955,001, and the plastic tube may have a helical corrugation and be of polytetrafluoroethylene.
