Abstract

977,312. Stoppers. PERMUTA CLOSURES Ltd. March 2, 1961 [March 4, 1960; April 19, 1960; April 26, 1960], Nos. 7801/60, 13687/60 and 14597/60. Heading B8T. A tamper-proof bottle closure comprises a stopper portion 1 moulded in one with a head portion 4 and a skirt 6 fitting on the interior of the bottle neck, the skirt having a tear strip 11 ending in a tab 15 which has on its inner surface a projection 16 which engages the bottle neck to hold the tab proud of the skirt to facilitate gripping thereof. The head is knurled at 5 and the skirt has a projection 7 which engages beneath a shoulder 8 on the bottle neck. The above is preferably of polythene. Specification 992,181 is referred to.
