969,100. Machine tool details. F. A. BELL. July 11, 1963 [July 19, 1962], No. 27682/62. Heading B3B. A multiple clamp for a milling machine &c. comprises a guideway 20, 21, containing a number of jaws 33 which can be removed from the guideway only at one or more places and can be clamped by a common member 47. The jaws are removed by detaching a closure plate 40. The workpieces rest on a bar 110 adjusted by screws 111. A setting device 80, Fig. 9, may be attached to the clamp by studs 74, 75. The device has a locating bar 69 which can be pressed (by rotation of a cam 93) against reference faces on the workpieces to align them before clamping. A further setting device 100, Fig. 7, has a number of adjustable reference faces 105 for setting hexagonal workpieces.
