Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of general formula: <FORM:0969098/C1/1> wherein R1 stands for hydroxy, alkoxy (1-6C), or a nitrogen-containing heterocycle linked through its N-atom, and R2 stands for alkoxy or a heterocycle as above, at least one of them being present as such heterocycle; and their acid addition salts; and their preparation by condensing a compound of formula: <FORM:0969098/C1/2> wherein X1 stands for hydroxy, alkoxy or halogen and X2 for alkoxy, with a nitrogen-containing heterocycle. Specifications 596,867 and 969,099 are referred to.ALSO:Compositions for the treatment of coccidiosis in poultry comprise a compound of general formula <FORM:0969098/A5-A6/1> wherein R1 stands for hydroxy, alkoxy (1-6C), or a nitrogen - containing heterocycle linked through its N-atom, and R2 stands for alkoxy or a heterocycle as above, at least one of them being present as such heterocycle, or an acid addition salt thereof, in admixture with a compatible carrier, e.g. nutrient material or drinking water; premixes are mentioned. The compounds also promote growth in poultry. The addition of sulphaquinoxaline and thiamine is mentioned. Specifications 596,867 and 969,099 are referred to.
