Abstract
952,416. Magnetrons. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Jan. 1, 1963 [Jan. 19, 1962], No. 2072/62. Addition to 924,277. Heading H1D. The magnetron of the parent Specification is modified in having the conductor 11 leading from the anode vane 2 connected to a probe 10 within the magnetron envelope for coupling to a waveguide. The lumped capacitance required is provided between the part 10F attached to the probe and the ridges 7A formed in the polepiece 7, or in another embodiment, by a ring of dielectric material inserted between the probe and the shield 17 protecting the glass-to-metal seal between metal. sleeve 25 and glass dome 23. In a modification of this arrangement the inner surface of the shield 17 is ribbed.
