942,701. Venetian blinds. E. GOLLNER, and E. LEIXNER, [trading as HEINRICH GOLLNER & CO.]. Oct. 31, 1961 [Oct. 31, 1960], No. 38947/61. Heading E1J. [Also in Division F2] A venetian blind comprises at least two pull bands 2 wound on to unflanged cylindrical rollers 7 fixed to a hexagonal shaft 8 between transverse partitions 14, 15 in the blind box 6. The slot control strips 3, 4 are bifurcated at the top, and each part passes over a roller 23 or 24 which is forced against a hub 29 on the shaft 8 by a spring 31. Each roller 23, 24 has an overrun stop 34, 35 associated with it, and there is also a control for the blind height, comprising a nut 18 which is prevented from rotating, and hence travels along a threaded portion of the rotating shaft 8 until stopped by a locknut 20.
