Abstract

947,373. Valves. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. May 17, 1960 [May 27, 1959], No. 18007/59. Heading F2V. A tubeless tyre inflation valve, not shown, is threaded into a body 1 having a brass portion 5 with a flange 9 moulded between the beads 2, 3 of a tyre 4; a length of flexible vulcanised rubber tubing 11, which is transfer moulded or detachably secured around a reduced diameter section 10 of the body 1, projects into the tyre inflation chamber 12. The inner end of the member may have a crowned external cylindrical surface. The tyre 4 with the body 1 in position is located in a tyre vulcanising mould, the tyre being inflated via the body 1 when the mould is closed. Specification 940,061 is referred to.
