Abstract
931,619. Friction clutches. PINTSCH BAMAG A.G. April 24, 1962 [April 25, 1961], No. 15515/62. Class 80 (2). An electromagnetic clutch comprises a stationary solenoid 5 which, when energized, draws an armature 6, secured to a driving V-pulley 4, against a pole ring 10 attached by a non-magnetic sleeve 12 to the output shaft 7. The ring 10 is formed with cut-outs 10a providing pole pairs when the solenoid is energized. The pulley consists of two discs 4a, 4b bolted to an intermediate disc 9 secured to the armature 6, and the pulley is mounted on the sleeve 12 by a bearing 16.
