Abstract

930,263. Boxes. ALBERT E. REED & CO. Ltd. Feb. 7, 1962 [Feb. 8, 1961], No. 4738/61. Class 18. [Also in Group XXX] A support for attachment to a case or package to keep it clear of the ground comprises a rectangular section tube divided internally by a vertical rib 5 hingedly fixed at one end to the top or bottom of the tube, the whole being rendered rigid by slotted reinforcing elements 10. The tube-and preferably also the reinforcing elements-is made of corrugated cardboard or the like, the tube being preferably folded from a single sheet, a central strip 2 of which has the elements 10 placed thereon before the sheet is folded around them and its edges forming the rib tucked into the slots 11 in the elements 10. Flaps 8 integral with the tube and/or holes 9 for receiving wire or the like are provided to facilitate attachment of the support to the case or package.
