Abstract

937,111. Shelf dividers. BEDCO Ltd. March 1, 1962 [March 27, 1961], No. 11023/61. Class 52 (1). A shelf divider 9 is made from springy metal rod, wire, strip or the like bent to form a frame whose front and rear lower parts 14 have hooklike portions 15, 16 which engage the edges of the shelf 7. The rear portion 16 comprises an angle piece or shoe welded to the rod and given the divider 9 lateral stability against the pressure of papers &c. on the shelf. An alternative alpha-shaped divider is disclosed. A stop bar 19 extends the length of the shelf to restrict the backward motion of the shelf contents and is adjustable on perforated strips 20 pivoted on tags 25 similar to the shelf-supporting tags 4 which engage slots 6 in the channels 3.
