Abstract

937,010. Rectangular-bottomed bags. R. W. BARRACLOUGH Ltd., R. W. BARRACLOUGH, and BRITISH XYLONITE CO. Ltd. April 13, 1962 [April 15, 1961], No. 13646/61. Class 94(2). A rectangular-bottomed bag is formed by folding a rectangular sheet, coated on the inside with heat sealable material, into a tube, sealing flaps E and F and folding them over as shown in Fig. 4, sealing the bottom of the tube then inflating it with an air nozzle 12, Fig. 8, pressing in the bottom with a rectangular former 13 and closing corner pieces M, N and sealing the insides of said corner peices between members 14a, 14b and the sides 13a, 13b respectively of the former 13 to produce a bag as shown in Fig. 8. After filling, the bag is sealed at 11#. A tear-out portion (not shown) protected by a tear-off strip may be placed in one side to extract the contents.
