Apparatus for injecting treating fluids or filling into a tooth cavity or withdrawing fluid or bacteria therefrom comprises a container, means for placing it in sealed communication with the tooth cavity and means for applying an oscillatory pressure to the interior of the container. A tube 3 interconnects the interior of a chamber 6 with the interior of a cup (not shown) or a crown 24 which is airtightly placed over a tooth cavity or a tooth, respectively. A subatmospheric or superatmospheric oscillatory pressure is transmitted to the chamber 6 by a diaphragm 4 which separates the first chamber 6 from a second chamber 9 communicating by a tube 10 with a vessel 12. The vessel is closed by a diaphragm 11 which is vibrated through a lever system 20, 21 by abutments 18 19 connected to an unbalanced electric motor 15 or by a vibration generator (not shown) to produce an oscillatory pressure within the vessel and the second chamber. The mean pressure in the vessel is determined by the position of an adjustable plunger 13 in a tube communicating with the vessel. The tube 3 is connected with the interior of the crown by a bored connecting piece 27. Tubes 28 may extend from the connecting piece into the interior of the tooth. The chamber 6 may be charged with sterilising fluid, drying air or filling, which is supplied by the apparatus to the tooth cavity under the oscillatory pressure, or may serve a reservoir for withdrawn liquid air or bacteria. The crown may be fixed to the tooth by filling material injected by the apparatus, the connecting piece then being replaced by a plug.
