Abstract
916,160. Frequency discriminators. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 29, 1959 [March 29, 1958], No. 10163/58. Class 40 (5). A frequency discriminator of linear output about the centre frequency comprises a pair of off-tuned circuits 4, 5 with symmetrical frequency response outputs which are rectified and differentially combined, and each offtuned circuit comprises two tuned circuits of equal tuning and bandwidth inductively, but less than critically, coupled. The tuned circuits may be damped by shunt resistors 14. In modifications the tuned circuits are coupled by inductances 13 forming a T or a #-network. Also, each off-tuned branch may be fed in parallel from a single amplifier.
