Abstract
914,186. Sausage &c rolls, filling. DE JERSEY, A. L. Feb. 9, 1960 [Feb. 11, 1959], No. 4561/60. Class 28 (1). [Also in Group V] Sausage or fruit-filled rolls are made by feeding a web 4 of paste on an endless conveyer 8 under a filling depositor 9 and passing the web to a second conveyer 10; the edges of the web overhang the conveyer 10 and are engaged by pairs of rotating shaping rollers 6 which fold the web around the filling, after which the web is fed to a sealer 12, where the edges are pressed together, and then to a cutter 13 where the web is cut into lengths which fall on to a conveyer 81 and are carried to an oven. The web is dusted with flour by brushes 20 flicking against a bar 21. The web thickness is determined by the adjustable spacing of upper and lower rolls 23, and the edges are trimmed by cutter discs 27.
