Abstract

901,681. Shuttering for casting concrete. RAWLPLUG CO. Ltd. Dec. 31, 1959 [Jan. 2, 1959], No. 232/59. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXV] A screw-socket 1 is held spaced from the inner face of shuttering 11 during pouring and setting of concrete, so as to be embedded in the concrete, by a washer 6 attached to the socket by a screw 5 and to the shuttering by pins 10. When the concrete has set, the shuttering is pulled away, the now exposed screw 5 withdrawn, and the washer removed. Sealing washers of fibre may be provided between the washer and mouth of the socket. The socket has a flange 2 and fins 3 to prevent axial and rotary movements thereof. The recess formed by the washer may be subsequently filled-in. According to the Provisional Specification, the dished washer is replaced by a thicker flat washer with bevelled edges.
