Abstract

892,492. Pouring stoppers. SMITH, G. V. Feb. 6, 1959, No. 4310/59. Class 125(3). A pouring stopper is built up from a moulded body section 11 with flange 20 and a separately moulded pourer 10 having a recess 16 in its base to accommodate the flange 20 whereby the two parts are cemented together. An air inlet 26 may be provided and a serrated polythene sleeve 32 with internal grooves engaging projections 19 on the body section may be used as a packing ring. The stopper is moulded from polystyrene.
