Abstract

881,574. Windscreen wipers. SWF SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER G. RAU G.m.b.H. April 26, 1960 [April 29, 1959], No. 14509/60. Addition to 839,277. Class 1381 (1). The mounting support for a windscreen wiper blade forming the subject of the parent Specification is modified for use with a blade for wiping a curved windscreen, and is disposed wholly within a yoke carrying the blade assembly. The resilient flexible support 10 of synthetic resin is pivotably mounted in the side walls of the yoke 5 and is apertured to receive the end of the wiper arm 1, which is locked to the support 10 by engagement of a tooth 14 on the support in a hole 16 in the arm. To release the connection the arm 1 is moved to rotate the support 10 on its pivot so that the turned-over end 15 of the support is pressed against the yoke 5 whilst the remainder of the support 10 is deformed to disengage the tooth 14 from the hole 16.
