Abstract
886,773. Securing pulleys &c. on shafts. DODGE MANUFACTURING CORPORA. TION. Feb. 16, 1960, No. 5497/60. Class 80 (2). The hub 14 of a pulley or like member 11 is secured on a split tapered bush 21 keyed to the driving-shaft by means of axially disposed screws 27 located in unthreaded openings 25 in the bush and engaging a continuous screw-thread 20a extending around the internal periphery of the hub. The screws abut the ends 28 of the openings 25 and thus draw the hub 14 over the bush 21. By this arrangement the hub and bush may be secured in any relative angular position, and should stripping of the thread 20a occur at any point the hub may be rotated to a new position where the thread is intact.
