Abstract

884,644. Securing bearings on shafts. SJOGREN, P. A. Aug. 15, 1960 [Aug. 18, 1959], No. 28139/59. Class 80 (2). The inner race 12 of a ball or roller bearing is secured to a shaft by means of an eccentric conical extension 20 of the race which is engaged by an internal eccentric conical surface 28 of a collar 24 which is secured to the shaft by a set screw. The extension 20 is provided with threaded holes 22 for set screws for additionally securing the shaft, and holes may be provided in the collar 24 to provide access to these screws.
