Abstract
873,720. Wall &c. panelling. SOC. CONTINENTALE DES BOIS ET MATERIAUX PANOLAC. April 14, 1959 [Dec. 3, 1958], No. 12680/59. Class 20(4) [Also in Group XXV] A metal clip for supporting a panel against a wall consists of a plate of metal having a body portion from which extends a central and two lateral tongues separated by two slots in the plate, the central tongue 3a and body portion lying in the same general plane from which the lateral tongues 3b are offset by cranking of the plate at the roots of these tongues, the body portion being formed with a fixing hole 5 whereby an edge of the panel can be gripped between the central and lateral tongues. The clip is intended to be placed against the wall with the central tongue 3a and the body portion flat on the wall the central tongue being behind the edge of a panel and the two lateral tongues engaged in a groove in the edge of the panel, the clip being secured to the wall by a nail driven through the hole 5. The rear surface of the panel is recessed to receive the central tongue. A second panel can then be engaged in the groove of the first panel with its other edge held by another clip.
