Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0872447/IV (b)/1> wherein R1 represents hydrogen, a C1-8 alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or phenylalkyl radical and R2 represents a C1-8 alkyl, cycloalkyl phenyl or phenylalkyl radical, and the preparation thereof by heating the hydrochloride of an azetidine of the formula <FORM:0872447/IV (b)/2> with an equimolar amount of an alkali metal cyanate in water at a temperature of between 50 and 100 DEG C.
