Abstract

877,078. Rotary machines. SVENSKA ROTOR MASKINER A.B. Feb. 25, 1960 [Feb. 26, 1959], No. 6645/60. Class 110 (2). In a rotary machine of the intermeshing screw type comprising two stages 18, 22 arranged in series in a common casing, the intermediate wall 16 of said casing is formed with chambers 36, 44 having inlet and outlet bores 40, 46 for establishing communication between the stages. The casing may be made in one piece or upper and lower portions or consist of a number of axially-disposed parts. Sealing and/or cooling fluid may be injected into either or both of the stages. Specifications 627,162, 676,839, 705,795 and 832,386 are referred to.
