Abstract
874,702. Electric lighting fittings. DUNCAN PARTNERS & PRICE Ltd. April 20, 1960, No. 13889/60. Class 75(3). A fitting suitable for a pendant light or a wall bracket has one or more tubular arms supporting bulb holders and carried by an attachment plate, the inner end of each arm being flattened and bent at an angle to the axis of the arm for clamping between the attachment plate and a second member or for being secured by a screw, the arm being perforated for entry of the lighting flex. Fig. 2 shows a wall plate 7 supporting two arms 1, the inner ends of which pass through holes in the plate 7 and are clamped by a plate 13 secured to the plate 7 by a screw 16 which also supports a bracket 8 having key-hole slots 9 for engaging screws on the wall. In' a pendant light the arms 1, Fig. 7, pass through holes in a plate 18, the flattened ends being clamped in place by a second plate 19 secured thereto. The whole may be covered by a part-spherical ornamental cover 21 held in place by a spherical nut 17. The plates 13, 19 may have pressed-up areas 15 to accommodate the flattened ends of the arms.
