Abstract

874,683. Paper and like bags. LABEK, A. Sept. 12, 1958, No. 29327/58. Class 94(2). A bag has securing means comprising a carrier or strip b secured, as by adhesive, to the outer surface of the flap or one side of the bag and coated with a pressure-sensitive self-sealing layer c, at least one perforation d is provided in the flap or side through which the layer c is exposed so it can be applied to the opposite side of the bag to seal it. The row of perforations shown in Fig. 1, may be substituted by one longer central aperture and as shown in Fig. 5 the adhesive areas c may secure the bag through both the perforations d and through aligned perforations d 1 in one of the. sides of a gussetted bag on to the other side s. A separate handle may be secured to the bag in a manner similar to the bag securing method above.
