[Also in Group VII] The Specification includes all the subject matter of Specification 860,263 but the claims relate to a method of introducing plastic mater. ial to stiffen a portion of a shoe upper. In addition the Specification desscribes introducing the plastic material in the form of a rupturable packet 330 formed of flexible sheet material sealed along its edges. Tabs 332 are provided for anchoring the packet in position e.g. by stitching, The packet may be divided by rupturable partitions into compartments, one of which contains a catalyst for the plastic.
