Abstract

867,905. Hydraulic shock-absorbers. ALLINQUANT, F. S. Oct. 9, 1959 [Nov. 13, 1958], No. 34327/59. Class 108(3). [Also in Group XXVI] In an hydraulic shock absorber passages 19, 20 through the piston 22 and passages 30, 31 through a partition 5 separating the recuperation chamber 7 are arranged in rings and the flow of fluid therethrough is controlled by foil type valves 21, 32 at each end having holes corresponding to some of the passages which are covered by solid portions of the valve at the other end. The valves on the piston 22 are backed by convex faced washers 24 which limit the lift and may resiliently constrain the valves if the end faces of the piston are concave. Alternatively the valves are formed with a concavity in the free state so :that they are constrained when assembled.
