Abstract

866,641. Link belts. BURTEX PLASTICS Ltd. April 14, 1958 [April 13, 1957], No. 12124/57. Class 80 (1). Link-belts for engaging flat or V-surfaces comprise pad units 20, Fig. 1, of a resilient material such as nylon which are coupled by links 26. The links 26 have projecting pins 27 which engage recesses 25 in the walls of slots 23 provided in the pads 20 and are engaged therein by " springing " the walls of the pads. The pad units may be combined with the coupling links as in Fig. 4. The pad units may be of circular cross-section as in Fig. 8 and connected by ball-ended links 47 which are passed through radial apertures 45 to engage in recesses 44. Multi-unit links may be provided with integral connecting portions for providing a belt of greater width or a multiple V-belt.
