Abstract
858,883. Valves. SUPE-DIENES, L. Feb. 25, 1959, No. 6586/59. Class 135. A non-return valve comprises a seating plate 6, Fig. 1, with two aligned rows of parallel ports 7 with which co-operates a movable closure consisting of a central spine 14 and lateral elastic fingers 9 for covering the individual ports 7. A curved spring 10, Fig. 2, having the shape of the closure, is held in place by an abutment plate 11 secured by bolts 12, Fig. 1, to the plate 6. A distance piece 13, which is associated with each bolt, limits the closure lift and guides the closure and spring 10. In a modification, the spring is curved on each side of the spine, each point of inflexion bearing against the corresponding fingers. In another modification, the spine is dispensed with and the two rows of ports are joined, each pair making one large port with the exception of the end ports where the bolts are disposed.
